I don't see the need really. But then again I wouldn't know the pain of being short since I'm 6'2. An estimate of 1/10,000 short guys would go through the proceedure, due it's expense, Probably physical pain, doesn't sound like duck walk to me. It seems like a big leap.

I'm around 6'2" so I don't know what it's like to be short. However, I don't think this painful and somewhat expensive procedure is worth it. The only real advantage your average everyday "tall person" has is being able to reach the top shelf without a stool. This is offset by the increased risk of falling prey to back ailments, especially in the latter part of your life.
