Dragon Ball battles are battles of ki, as long as your ki is higher you will win.
Naruto don't work like that, someone with less chakra reserve can beat someone with higher (proven multiple times).

Goku didn't pull it out of his ass, he saw his best friend get killed in front of him. Super Saiyan 1 transformation is ruled by emotion, Vegeta didn't unlock it until he was tired of being weak and his emotion spilled over as well on that asteroid.

No different than how MS is unlocked, really. It requires extensive power + emotional intensity.

Nope, being stronger doesn't guarantee a win. There are important factors in a fight:

1. Match-ups.
2. Environment.
3. Circumstances.

Pretty much, unless you're Hashirama/Madara or a Juubi Jinchuuriki, you can potentially lose to anyone.

In DBZ the main people have never won because they were strong, but instead due to their teamwork.

And of course VS doesn't determine who is the stronger one. Stronger one is the person who can win when everything is out on the table, and have the ability to prepare for it.

And its not always like that in DBZ.
I remember the fight between Perfect Cell and Ultra Super Saiyan Trunks;
Cell admits that Trunks was stronger but he wins with his speed.
