Cus if I went to the dark ages in a time machine and forgot my smartphone, a child would find it and just play with it like a toy, but an adult would think it was witchcraft and do radical things because of it.

Dark ages... will have no internet service or phone seivce or a way to charge... at best they can smash it and blow up the battery probably once...

Yea. Depending on your how flawed your existing beliefs are, being critical can be more harmful than being naive. Like someone who learned that 1+2 = 4 and won't see it any other way.
