[Spoilers] Beginning of their fight

There seems to be some confusion over the beginning of the Danzo-Sasuke fight.

From what was seen in the chapter it is clear to me that Danzo used a technique that either a.) was a genjutsu or b.) was a clone.

I'm leaning towards it being A. Obviously Sasuke thought he had Danzo in Susanoo's hand, and then thought he killed him. After crushing "Danzo" Sasuke is surprised and scared because Danzo has just appeared behind him. Here is the last page of the chapter:

The last caption says: "Revenge.....and a Shudder". The revenge refers to Sasuke thinking he crushed Danzo with Susanoo. The shudder is the feeling Sasuke gets when he realizes that Danzo tricked him and is now behind him.



But at the same time I'm liking option B. Option B would be a combination of a clone technique, either some sort of ink or blood clone. I'm guessing Sasuke can tell the difference between ink and blood so I'm leaning towards blood. So Danzo uses this advanced cloning technique and then uses a Sharingan technique to move behind Sasuke. The reason I think this is because when he appears behind Sasuke it happens with a "slip" sound. This technique belongs to the eyes of Uchiha Shisui who was very good at using a type of "body flicker" technique.

So either A.) A simple genjutsu.
Or B.) A combination of a clone jutsu and body flicker.

I think it's option B)..
But i also think that Holly Susano'o was also an illusion by Sasuke Uchiha. I don't see Sasuke Uchiha being that careless and throwing his best technique right away.
If it was a real Holly Susano'o,Sasuke Uchiha will not be touched by Danzo'o attack.​

i agree with kenshin, the logic is undeniable as i have state several times in other threads

also danzo used no genjutsu on sasuke, he is too advanced

and there was blood on his face WHEN HE TURNED TO LOOK AT DANZO

If it was a genjutsu, I don't think Sasuke wud hav blood on his face when Danzo reaappears behind him. I think Danzo used one of his special techs as he made hand seals before charging at sasuke. Probably one of his sharingans powers.

Also it was the real Susanoo Sasuke used which Madara and Karin saw too.. They weren't in any illusion.. but these are just my points.. Nxt chapter shud reveal the true story

Thats very true, I didn't see the blood on Sasuke's face as he was turning around before. It could still be that Sasuke is still in the genjutsu, but I'm leaning towards B now.

I also agree that its the real Susanoo. Everyone in the are saw it and theres really no reason for it not to be real. Madara even says "So that's Sasuke's version?" or something to that effect. I doubt Madara would be so clueless as to whether it was an illusion or not.

Sasuke is being reckless throwing out Susanoo as his first counter. I get that he is mad but he is going to go blind faster than Itachi, and Itachi from our point of view seldom used it, and only in dire siuations. I think Kishi wants Sasuke to go blind.

Maybe this is why Madara is letting Sasuke fight Danzo, obviously if anything happens Madara can step in but I think Madara is trying to blind Sasuke some how so he can use Itachi's eyes.
