Something thats all too often glossed over is how powerful B is without Gyuuki.

After re-watching the fight between B and Kisame, B tells Gyuuki that he wasted all of his OWN chakra trying to fight Kisame.

Thats when he asks Gyuuki to borrow his. This means that B on his own, is as powerful as a 7-tailed cloaked Hachibi.



TL;DR - Bee's natural reserves are as high as a 7-tailed bijuu cloak

Well even without Gyuuki his skills with swords are still unsurpassed . He is really good with Raiton chakra and he is strong,durable,fast with great reflexes.So he is mid-high kage level.

But nowhere near powerful as with Gyuuki.

which indicates that he was fighting kisame with his own chakra before Gyuuki lent him some of his own

You do know that a bijuu and the host have linked chakra right? Naruto was low or out of chakra in the war but kept using Kurama's chakra. Same can be for Bee that doesn't mean he have 7 tails worth of it.

So you're saying the chakra Bee traded in to the hachibi to bring out seven tails cloak is how much Bee himself has as a whole in terms of chakra?

I would have to disagree because jinchuuruki to Biju ratio trade works the same as summoning jutsu. Just because your chakra summoned that particular aid doesn't mean your chakra is exactly equal to its ratio.
