Beef between Oda and Mashima?

I think its people just stirring stuff.

Some strange people have made the connection that One Pieces fairies, the tourny and some other things are digs at Fairy tail.

Dunno why Oda would need to do that considering his mangas far better.

What seems awfully alike? Considering that OP is the older and earlier released manga..

Its not like the fairys in OP are competing in the tourny or are actual fairies but rather dwarfs.

This is the explanation given for it (from MS):

In the span of a handful of chapters, Lucy+tournament+fairies+fairy tale (iirc franky saying something akin to 'what kind of crazy fairy tale is this') was dropped on the reader. The real kicker for me was this: how the general public were indifferent to the fairies stealing because it was something people had just grown accustomed to.

Now before this last FT chapter, you would have been justified in accusing me of reading too much into a series of mere coincidences or making a mountain out of a mole hill. However, In light of the latest FT chapter where: A treasure hunting guild (what do pirates do?) that's fond of stealing loot has two members abusing trademark/signature expressions of OP?

Or maybe it's all a big, super coincidence that just ended up that way with a don.
