"Alright guys, quiet down! My name is Katherin, but you can all call me Kate, it's shorter and and sounds cooler. The fact that you all made it into the school tells me that you are all capable of becoming great medical ninja one day, but not without guidance, and that's why i'm here."

I'll be training you all in the art of medical ninjutsu so if there's anything you don't understand or anything I didn't explain really well don't be afraid to ask me to repeat myself. Now then, before we officially begin, I would like you all to shortly introduce yourselves, tell me what you think a medical ninja is and also tell me what drove you to want to become a medical ninja and what you plan on doing with the knowledge you will receive here."

Minato decides to bite the bullet first, stands and talks.

"Well it's not much I can say that wasn't in my application already, but to summarize, a medical ninja is a doctor or nurse that employs chakra in order to help injured or sick. I decided to become a medical ninja in order to expand my fields of knowledge, as well as continuously improve my techniques as I help those in need. I was in med school previously and had learned the basics, but life became complicated so I had to quit. I am back now to go all the way."

After finishing, Minato bowed down and took his seat.

Solas quietly listens to the young woman as she speaks. He carefully decides his choice of words and what he intends them to mean. Once one of the students introduced himself, Solas waits till the attention is on him and then replies, quite seriously at that.

"I am Solas. I have traveled far and wide to learn of the world. I have seen many things and heard a great many things but mostly from my dreams. As you see, I am an avid seeker of knowledge especially that of things that came to pass. They help us understand the present and look ahead to the future. I believe the same thing can be said of medicine. The trials of the past help us understand why medicine now is the way it is and allows us insight in how we can make it better. As a medical-nin, it is our responsibility to ensure that that knowledge is passed on correctly as the lives of others depends on it. I believe that medicine should be used to help people rather than for our own selfish desires. In the end, we are all we have and the longer we can stay together, the more bearable life can become.

My interest in medicine has always been there but considering the requirements for it, I could only judge it from a distance. I welcomed the notion of doing something for someone else other than myself to improve their life. In my dreams I have seen the past, a past full of suffering for lack of decent medical knowledge resulting in the loss of many lives. We could only observe, ponder at what could have been. But humanity can only suffer so much until someone steps up and decides to do something about it. While in the eyes of others, their work may have been misunderstood, their boldness is what drove us to find better ways to help others and in turn save more lives. I think that my thirst for knowledge has allowed me to take advantage of various opportunities and grow as a person. I am not looking for power or how to kill a person, I simply want to understand."

Solas quietly retreats back a bit to give the floor to the next student, someone he greatly admired. (Looking at you Souji-san)

"Alright, good stuff from both of you. Here's a little more information on Medical ninja."

*Hands both students a piece of paper*

A medical ninja is a ninja who has learned to make use of Ninjutsu and related skills to provide medical treatment to others. It also encompasses those that, using that knowledge, have enhanced their own combat abilities.

In Naruto Manga, fields like Kinjutsu, Fuuinjutsu and Poison techniques are deeply rooted into Medical Knowledge. Orochimaru is a fair example of how Medical Knowledge can be used to achieve greater power but he isn't the only one.

In Narutobase RPG, the medical ninja is capable of healing others and himself, cure poisonings, enhance his sealing knowledge and skill, develop his regenerative abilities and even learn to use poison techniques in combat.

Medical Ninjutsu is not unlike regular ninjutsu where you use your chakra to achieve effects that you would not be able to otherwise. Most Medical Ninjutsu techniques, however, are deeply rooted into Yang Release and make perfect use of Physical Energy.
"So I would like you both to quickly read through the small paper I gave you. Once you are done, you may proceed to write down your homework which I will write on the board shortly and hand it in so that I may check it. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask."

Homework:
Write a small text where you explain what chakra is, how it works and how the human body relates to chakra in narutoverse.

Solas listened intently as the teacher gave the next set of instructions. He read the information quietly and pondered for a bit. He reflected on all his lessons and what he understood to be the correct answer. Of course, there were so many ways to answer this. He could make it brief or he could drag it out like one does a drunk out of a tavern when he's had too much to drink. He amused himself of the thought but remembered he was and got to writing his thoughts down. He took quite a while as he wrote, taking the task seriously as he eventually would do the same thing if he were to become a teacher himself.

"(Ahem) Here is what you requested. I hope it is to your satisfaction."

It is to my understanding that chakra is embodiment of our will. It allows us to act beyond our limitations and create something new through it. I believe one could consider it on a lesser scale of Sage of the Six Path's "Creation of All Things" technique in which he was said to create something out of nothing and breath life into it. In much the same way, by combining one's own physical energy and spiritual energy, we can give form to our will and give it life. How you go about it is trivial when compared to the things you can do with it. Based on this, I have come to believe that each person carries a certain "ratio" of chakra that allows those with sensory perception to distinguish one person from the next. How this is possible is beyond me but something worth investigating if it interests you.

Considering what I said, through one's desire you create form and through one's will you give it life. Like fire for example. I desire it to form in my hand like so. Through my willpower I give it life by making it hot and bright. And viola! We have a flame. However the truth of the matter is that, like everything in life, it has a limit. If I make it too hot it will burn me alive and if I give it too big a form it could consume all my chakra, ending my life in the process. That is why a great discipline is needed to utilize chakra correctly and in the right amount at that. As medical-nin we are masters of chakra control through practice and dedication, allowing us to do better with what we have.

I may be veering off course but it is to my understanding that chakra created in the body comes from our tenketsu or no? Up to this point I have assumed the body has a separate network that houses our chakra but is it invisible or are we able to "touch" it? I assume I know the basics of chakra but more advanced that that I'd really like to know more as I am intrigued as how you propose it works.

Sincerely,

Solas

Solas waits for his teacher to read his note and reply.

Write a small text where you explain what chakra is, how it works and how the human body relates to chakra in narutoverse.

Well, in the narutoverse chakra is different from other life forces known as chi or ki. Humans were capable of living without ever needing to use chakra, yet the introduction of this to humans was the beginning of humans being capable of superhuman feats. A person as much as they train can only reach so far without opening their chakras, and they will fall behind those who actually do.

There are two requirements in order to produce chakra and alter the world:
-Physical Essence: This fuel comes from earthly elements such as food and water in order to fuel the body. Without eating or drinking you are most surely going to pass away. This is common with all living beings.

-Spirit: In most religions, a body inhabited by a living being has a life force or soul. This is not fueled by food, and it is known in many religions to be infinite and powerful.

Thus chakra is born from the balance of both physical and spiritual realms in order to change the external world. It can either enhance the self or alter the world around the person, from producing elements to curing people or sensing them. The power of techniques and abilities depend solely upon the achievable chakra you can produce from the balance, as those with greater "life force" tend to be stronger ninja.

I'm unsure in what you are asking with how it relates to the human body, can you explain?

Souji awakens from his nap, having dozed off waiting for his teacher. He saw Minato and Solas, two dudes who were sitting with him; probably classmates.

His teacher was a woman. Rubbing his eyes, he focused as he looked around dazed, a piece of paper stuck on his cheek and his hair slightly messy.

Pretending to write stuff down, he hoped no one would notice...

Sorry if I took too long guys.

"Welcome to the land of the living young man. You can stop pretending to write now and listen. Alright, so it seems you two *points at Minato and Solas* understand the basics about what chakra is but not much on how it relates to the human body, and that's ok. I'll try to explain it as simply as I can and if there are still questions don't hesitate to ask.

So as you all know, each of us contain chakra in the body and it flows within us via what we call a chakra pathway system. The chakra pathway system are basically points within the body that channel chakra through it. Simply put they serve the same function for chakra as blood vessels do for blood. Along the chakra pathways, there are 361 nodes called tenketsu that control the flow of chakra like circuit breakers. Chakras take a circular shape and are basically spinning energy centers which exist in our subtle etheric body, they are the non-material energetic counterpart to our physical body. There are seven main chakras and they are located along the spine extending out the front and back of the body, I'm not going to go through them with you because you do not need to know them. Anyways, each chakra has a number of specific qualities that correspond to the refinement of energy from the base-level material-self identity, located at the first chakras, up to the higher vibration spirit-level awareness of being at our crown. Each chakra is associated with a certain part of the body and a certain organ which it provides with the energy it needs to function. Additionally, just as every organ in the human body has its equivalent on the mental and spiritual level, so too every chakra corresponds to a specific aspect of human behaviour and development. Our circular spirals of energy differ in size and activity from person to person. They vibrate at different levels relative to the awareness of the individual and their ability to integrate the characteristics of each into their life. The lower chakras are associated with fundamental emotions and needs, for the energy here vibrates at a lower frequency and is therefore denser in nature. The finer energies of the upper chakras corresponds to our higher mental and spiritual aspirations and faculties.
*Makes quick sketch on whiteboard* "As you can see on this not so cool sketch I just drew, the chakra pathway system comes from the base seven chakra (only drew one because you don't need to know all seven) and is enmeshed into the body and like blood vessels it touches and interacts with every single living cell and passes through every organ. If the chakra flow to a section of the body is blocked then that portion of the body will be unable to release any chakra from any of the tenketsu."

"I do however like the way you both explained what chakra is, good job both of you. I hope that clears things up for you all and as for Mr sleep head over there, try not to ever sleep class again okay? You first punishment will be to tell me what we as ninja use chakra for. Now then, if there are no other questions, we may proceed. Here are some more notes on chakra. Paste them in your notebooks and read through them."

Chakra originally belonged to the God Tree. When Kaguya Ōtsutsuki ate the fruit the God Tree bore, she became the first person in history to wield chakra. With her new-found power, she ended all the wars that plagued the lands. Her sons, Hamura and Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, were the first people to be born with chakra. Hagoromo decided to spread chakra to others through a practice called ninshū (later evolving into Ninjutsu), intending to create peace by using the chakra to connect people's spiritual energy so that they would understand one another without even talking. Until this point, Humans existed with 2 separate energies: the spiritual and the physical though neither connected to each other and formed chakra.

Since being spread by Hagoromo, chakra has become a form of life energy that all individuals produce to some degree; those who run out of chakra will die. This is because chakra is the resulting energy of mixing together physical and spiritual energy; if chakra runs out it means one was depleted of either or both and that, in itself, equals death. Produced within the "chakra coils" (basically, within the pathways of chakra) that mainly surround and connect to each chakra-producing organ, the energy circulates throughout the body in a network called the "Chakra Pathway System", which is similar to the cardiovascular system. Certain groups, such as shinobi, have learned to generate more chakra and release it outside their bodies through pressure points (or openings) called tenketsu in order to perform jutsu. Chakra is not normally visible to the human eye, though it can be seen in situations where a person releases as much of their chakra as possible. This is rarely seen due to the restrictions of eight specific tenketsu known as the Eight Gates, which limit the amount of chakra an individual can release at a single given time.

Chakra is created when two other forms of energy, known collectively as one's "stamina", are moulded together. Physical energy (身体エネルギー, shintai enerugī) is collected from each and every one of the body's cells and can be increased through training, stimulants, and exercise. Spiritual energy (精神エネルギー, seishin enerugī, English TV: Mental Energy) is derived from the mind's consciousness and can be increased through studying, meditation, and experience. These two energies becoming more powerful will in turn make the created chakra more powerful. Therefore, practising a technique repeatedly will build up experience, increasing one's spiritual energy, and thus allowing more chakra to be created. As a result, the ninja is able to do that same technique with more power. This same cycle applies for physical energy, except the ninja needs to increase their endurance instead. Some unique individuals have substantial potential that enable them to exponentially increase their chakra reserves in a relatively short amount of time.

Each person's chakra is different and as such gives off a unique chakra signature, which sensor type ninja are able to detect. Chakra signatures are passed genetically, allowing a person's clan to be identified by their chakra; over time, entire populations can have perceptibly different chakra. One's chakra signature can be altered by absorbing DNA from multiple people, mixing various chakra signatures together to become a whole new one. In the anime, chakra signatures that are similar to each other (such as that of a parent and child) are suggested to resonate when near each other. Each person's chakra also has a unique "colour" that can be seen by those with dōjutsu (the anime tends to colour all normal chakra light blue).

A chakra signature can often be described as a mixture of characteristics that can be detected in ones chakra flow. Chakra is always moving and thus "flowing" within the chakra system. This movement, this flow, has unique characteristics that vary from individual to individual, forming ones chakra identity. But its also a source of information on its owner. By perceiving ones chakra flow, it is possible to detect many things from when a person is sad, happy, lying, in pain, sick, dying, performing a technique, etc. This is very important for medical ninjas as chakra, being a ninja's life force, is intertwined within his body and well being thus changes to ones chakra are key to diagnosing problem as and issues with the ninja. Normally, where there is a lesion, injury or disease, the chakra flow will be notoriously different, aiding in finding the core of the issue. The body also tends to direct and conduct chakra to those areas, consuming it to try and heal the body.

A part from diagnosing, chakra is very important for medical ninjas because its through their own chakra and often using the patients chakra as well, that one is able to heal tissue much more rapidly than normal. By empowering and manipulating cells and various biological processes of the patients body and metabolism with chakra, the medical ninja is capable of healing, regrowing tissue, etc. Additionally, some ninja techniques inflict damage and injury on a patients chakra system and chakra directly, something the medical ninja is also able to help heal.
