I was reading this thread last night and i was actually shocked about some of the things that you said and i just want to give my two cents.

You claim that you are an artist and have some talent in the area, which i serious don't doubt and i personally have no ability to judge in this area because i have no skill in drawing at all. But i would hope that it would be someone like you who encourages this girl and inspires her to improve. By all means i am not saying you should lie, but you don't have to be nasty to be honest. But constructive criticism is what the art world is all about, you as someone who has a superior knowledge of the subject SHOULD have been honest, but have been nice at the same time. What have you done by insulting her and her drawings? Do you really think that you are helping her by being a jerk? Do you think this will help her improve and inspire her to better herself?

No, all you have done is hurt her and weakened her resolve to be an artist.

And how can you say she should give up on her dream because she has no skill, skill in a thing like art isn't hereditary, you aren't born an amazing artist. You have to learn and improve. I am certain that at one point in your life you wasn't the big hot-shot snobby artist that confronts people online by belittling them and there work, but someone just like this girl, trying to improve because she wants to express herself through art.

If she wants to work with art shes gonna have to face this and its better sooner than it is later.

Simply because that's how i judged your personality by the way you judged her and her art.

And i never disagreed with the message you was trying to portray to her, unfortunately there are people like you out there who are nasty and cruel who will put someone down just because you don't like it. If you said; "I don't like your sketch, its got this wrong with it and this wrong with it, but if you tried this or did this then it would work better" then that's acceptable. But you didn't, you just told her she should give up because she can't draw and called her an attention seeker. .

And thats what makes you seem snobbish, it sounded like you was looking down on her because her art didn't meet your expectation of what art is, which is wrong, art is subjective in ALL of its forms.

And a big shot artist was referring to the way you bragged about your experience with art to give your point credibility.

All i have done to you is what you have done to her in your threads. Taken small chunks of information and make my mind up about the whole based on the information i have gathered.

NarutoBase is were people should feel safe to upload things like this, it is supposed to be a community. People from the same community don't shit on each others door steps because it damages the community. Just keep in mind that instead of being rude and offensive to people when criticising other peoples works, why don't you try to help them improve so the next time they upload something you can send a nice smiley face and tell them well done or if you can't, just don't post at all.

I feel the same way about drawing and I also want to be an animator (or concept artist ^^) and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that anyone can draw as long as they practise enough! So scribble and draw everyday! Then, shove your awesome art in those people's faces
Also, if you don't like the thing you've drawn, just wait for while and then draw something else. Like how I made my avatar, not to happy about the face, but I'll make a new one...some day xD
