Ikr? Shit is unrealistic and crazy. Plus, the football players are setting themselves up for failure in the long run. They'll simply be replaced for the games that they won't play in and possibly lose their scholarship. It really only hurts them in the long run.

That's not thinking you'll change the world. They didn't do it because they thought they would change the world. They did it because they recieved injustice and wanted Justice. I don't think you're realizing the concept of boycotting. Who cares if you lose what little you had. So did they. The schools president quit. That's the power that unity can bring. You don't think they realize that they put their careers in jeapordy? They don't care about that. They refuse to tap dance and not get justice. That is what you call a coon

This is a very misguided boycott. They clearly had more than a little since they made it on the team. This seems contradictory. The movement is supposed to promote the growth of black youth, yet here it is telling them to potentially put their career and future in the trash. Boycotting something not even connected to the things they see as a injustice.
The movement should be showing that the black youths of America have a chance to make it in this world if they put their minds to it. It should be pointing tangible things like school funding disparities in America. It should be drawing attention to the fact that prisons are for profit in Americ and that we have 25% of the world's incarcerated population. It should be drawing attention to the fact that over 900 people have been shot down by cops in 2015 alone.
We need to be critically examining who we vote for to be in Congress. We need to be pointing out what specific laws we don't like. If we're going to boycott, we need specific companies.

That's already been done. And it's being done. But what they did worked. And they benefited by getting rid of that school president. They were not wrong doing what they did and playing ball isn't developing your future it's attempting to get into the nfl and get rich. They realized that the revolution is more important than money and entertainment. That's what you're failing to see

What you're failing to see is that they were there to get a education. The school offered them a education and in exchange, they play football for them.Being on a college football team doesn't automatically mean you'll make it to the NFL but it does give you a pathway.
I'm not seeing them doing anything motivational. I'm seeing them give off the image of "Give us things cause we're minorities! "

In case you didn't knwo, colleges give you dummy courses just so that you can have good enough grades to stay on the team. Just in case you didn't know, many NFL players can be called stupid for their lack of knowledge because of these dunny courses. Get real man.

Maybe not the planet, but definitely America. But even that statement is wrong. The majority of the human race is Chinese. You do realize they have to pick a field to major in and once they're done four years and most likely not move on to the NFL, they look for a job in the field they major in right? So even if they get a bunch of dummy classes, they still get a degree that they can use to get a job. Same could be said about alot of people lacking knowledge then.
