Naruto has already foreshadowed, as everyone has been recently posting about, that if they do end up fighting, they both will die. If you look at the expression on Naruto's face in the last chapter,
1. He was not surprised. (After all, he could sense hatred in Kyubimode practically being able to read others' intentions.)
2. He knew this was coming.
and most importantly
3. His expression and words clearly shows that he does have a plan.
The utmost best way that this could play out:
It will be an evenly matched fight, they are finally equals (contrary to all the Naruto/Sasuke fantards beliefs) and one won't necessarily overpower the other.
They will fight it out, while Naruto attempts to unsuccessfully reason and TnJ Sasuke.
Naruto will attempt to Rasengan/Chidori clash Seals to release those in the IT, but will be unable to. ( A Kishi troll moment.)
Their fight will progress, with time running out to save those caught in IT.
They will perform their final clash mortally wounding each other, unable to fight any longer. Both now on the verge of death. (Again, they will both be dying at this point.)

Naruto will give his final words and in a very sad and dramatic moment, he will be the first to die between the two. Sasuke not far behind Naruto in death, will at the very last moments of his life, will process everything, and finally come to understand Naruto and his Will will change (a delayed TnJ success)
Kakashi and Sakura will mourn Naruto parting and also realize that it is too late for those trapped in the God-Tree (Thus confirming KakaSaku for repopulation... jkjk lol.) Sasuke (on the edge of death, regretting killing Naruto, his only true friend) will be informed that everyone is dead.
Naruto will be seen in the pure world, and one by one, all those who passed on from IT will begin to show up. The whole world will be gathered among Naruto in the pure world and they will come to an understanding that it's over, and they are indeed dead.
Sasuke will finally be rescued from his darkness in his last moments and using his super OP plot Rinnegan, he will decide to Rinne-rebirth the entire world killed by IT. (He is a true user of the Rinnegan, if Pain can revive a village, Sasuke can definitely revive the world. Sasuke has even foreshadowed that he's learned more about the Rinnegan powers through the fight with Kaguya--> Powers still Progressing.) This will obviously parallel Pain (cuz Kishi loves parallels.)
Naruto and World will be brought back because of Sasuke's Sacrifice.
Naruto will be at Sasuke's side as he finally passes, and Sasuke's last words will be directed at Naruto calling him "Friend."
Sasuke will be upheld as a redeemed hero.
Naruto will have held his part in the prophesy of being the child of light having ended the cycle of hatred, and confirmed his foreshadowing that they both will die if they fight.
Then, Naruto Movie: The Last.

When Naruto and Sasuke are down and near death. Sakura will be standing between the two having to choose who to "try" to save, her love (Sasuke) or her hero (Naruto)
Sasuke will raise his dying arm trying to call to Sakura, expecting her to save him, but she will go to Naruto (not out of love, but out of what's morally right to her.)
This will Trigger Sausage's moral transformation, realizing the need of others and how Naruto's view of friendship was right all along.
Naruto still dies first in Sakura's arms, and after, she approaches Sasuke, in tears, reluctantly refusing to heal him.
