So we'll begin this thread with a journey back in time, back to the American war of independence where one monarch could marginalize the interest of an entire society by feeding them stories like the Divine right of kings which means if you were a good person and believed in God, you believed in that kings right to rule over you which is a terrible and corrupt system which inevitably had to be overthrown because when you create a society where everyone can work for themselves they'll work much harder and become more efficient society. It was an incredible advancement in history because what it allowed people to do is become their own kings. Well you gotta appreciate how far we've come because the average person in today's world has better living conditions than a king many centuries ago so next time you feel powerless, down etc. Just remember you're more powerful than past monarch's, don't give your power, if you want something today, you can make it happen, the power is your mind so use it.

Yeah, it's true that you can look at it like that, but the average person's living conditions is a by-product of the advancements since then. Realistically, the King still holds higher stature regardless of time period. If said person was a King now, you couldn't really use that argument.

Anywho, I read a bit of ''The Prince'' by that italian politician from the 16th century and he said that royalty would have pompuous statues made of themselves and and other things to implement in the common man the thought of royalty having a god-given right to rule over them. And they'd unconsciously accept that with the help of all the pompuous outfits, estates, statues, etc.

UK,Soudi and many other countries still have monarchies,dictators and mad followers of the religion all over the world.
Also you have people saying there is no humanity,this generation is the worst,wars and killing..in the Internet totally unaware of the luxuries they have and how good the current era is compared to the rest of the past.

I'd be inclined to agree. Which is why I usually laugh and or get angered when I see some people complain about why certain things in life (like jobs or schooling) aren't going their way, when they have full control over their lives and the necessities to back it up.
