Am I having a Mandela effect or is there a clip of BB giving Shanks his scar? I could have swore I saw a part in an episode(maybe a movie) that showed Shanks receiving his scar from Teach. What happened was Shanks was in a small boat in the water, I think BB started in one and they were fighting and BB either fell out or dove underwater, and Blackbeard popped up behind Shanks from the water below and when Shanks turned BB slashed him with the claws he used to wear.

Did that happen or am I going crazy? I've looked and can not find it anywhere.

I don't remember anything along those lines.

I know there was a debate for years about how BB gave Shanks those scars, and the only thing we saw was a flashback to a young Blackbeard wearing a claw before he had his Devil Fruit.

Don't think we ever saw him using it.

the way shanks told it, blackbeard surprised him. maybe he's stronger than we think, people were assuming he'd be next commander if I remember right.

Shanks said that he wasn’t careless when he was damaged by Teech.

Op you’re dreaming.

I feel like I remember a silhouette of a slash from Teach against like a black background... But that is about it.

The endless hole of BB theories is just an attempt to create restless and malleable minds to join their ranks. You're currently under its effects so should rest.

I don’t recall that there is a scene where Shanks and Teach encountered each other in close range combat. I guess you’ve read and watched One Piece too much. Give it a break like how Oda does this week.

I've never seen what you're talking about, but then again I haven't seen the anime in ages nor all the movies. It's also possible you're confusing something fan made with the canon story.

Either way it has been strongly implied though that BB is responsible for Shanks' scar. When Shanks tried to convince WB to let Ace give up on chasing BB, he started talking about his scar. He didn't said it directly, but there's little doubt to what he meant was that BB inflicted that wound upon him. Unless Oda intentionally tried to put us on the wrong footing, but I don't really see a reason for that.

Then during the FI arc we saw a short flash-back about how WB placed FI under his protection and there you could see BB with a claw-weapon.

Well fuuuuuuuck me. That was either one hell of a dream or another reason why Steins;Gate is becoming one of my favorite stories.
