It leaves you to wonder why Kishimoto NEVER had that battle, seeing that they both were the most talented amongst all the kohona 11 as children.

Sasuke vs Neji & Sakura vs Hinata. Tsunade was out of chakra from healing the citizens and injured ninjas throughout the village. That battle would have been easy kill for Pain.
