EA and game retailers have revealed the official Battlefield 4 box art. And there’s no real surprise here: it’s based on the artwork we leaked two weeks ago. There’s box art for all three editions of the game: PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Be sure to also check out the recently released Battlefield 4 screenshots.
Which begs the question: will Battlefield 4 be released on next gen platforms? Sony has already unveiled the PlayStation 4, and Microsoft is expected to unveil the Xbox 720 at E3 2013 in June. The PS4 is based on PC hardware and architecture, which means it won’t be that hard to port the game from the PC to the system.
We’ll have to wait and see what EA and DICE’s plans are for the next-generation consoles. It would be a shame if Battlefield 4 didn’t take advantage of the new and powerful hardware. Earlier today, DICE confirmed that the game would skip the Wii U, just as we expected would happen.
