Dodai in signature.

Position mid-range (10 meters) of his foe, Rock Lee, on a grassy plain during a summer day - with the blue sky clear and the sun brightly shining high, Dodai tactically engages (making his first move), swiftly - in a fluid motion - flinging 3 shuriken in his right hand. They 3 shuriken swirl, approaching Rock Lee's front. They aim for the center of his torso to impale him.

Lee, watching the assailant throw the 3 shuriken at him, quickly counters with 3 shuriken of his own. These shuriken fly in a path which intercepts the 3 incoming shuriken. Lee then, with blistering speed, runs toward his opponent, and begins to throw a punch towards his opponents right side. But, while in the middle of this punch, Lee moves his fist to the left, avoiding any block the opponent puts up. He then punches his opponent in the face, jumps backwards, and smiles.

"Fresh out the Academy...." Dodai remarked, as he glared at his opponent, who was rushing towards him at high speed and precision. He criticized his actions in his head as sloppy and heedless and thought such a comment was necessary for the young lad. He shook his head in shame. In thought, out of respect, he would show him proper combat.

Dodai, who was compose and focus, with his posture lax, geared into action. He stood balance (with his feet place shoulder width apart at 45 degrees - left foot in front and right in back, and knees sightly bent) and in a guard stance (with his elbows bent and tuck against his body and hands - in a clench fist - seven inches raise to his chin up to his bottom head, forming a "cage"), he prepared himself for whats to come. Observing his opponent in the process of approaching and striking, Dodai study his body movements (viewing his muscle contracting), which help anticipate his attack. He watch closely as the young lad begin to strike with a jab to the right side of his face. In a instant, he catch the punch (that lack power) with his left hand to take the young lad by surprise and knock him off balance, while simultaneously absorbing the momentum (leaning into the punch) and transferring it into his right arm, which was sprang back - in a clench fist - to build force and release, striking with a jab to the left side of the young lad's cheek. The force of the impact from the blow would send the young lad flying backwards a couple of meters off balance.

In an instant? Read my muscles contractions? BS. How would you move that fast or see my muscles to anticipate movements?! Last time I checked you had no dojutsu.

Reading your muscles which tense up or show repsonse when moving to strike (such as with your legs or arms) to anticipate movement is considered an human instinct called body language. And when I have better reflexes than you (going by the Speed Chart and calculating the range which is mid), it means I don't necessarily need "Sharingan" to do this.

About the instant, I kind of exaggerated.

Just saying though, my character is rock lee, and no matter how much you notice it, in general a human wouldnt catch a punch of that speed.
