She instantly recognizes the technique and releases a surge of lightning chakra from her body, forming a permanent barrier sphere of electricity around herself which instantly melts through whatever part of the swamp she stands in. Konan then notices a large shadow at her feet and quickly looks up. She then replaces herself with a nearby log, and moves herself about 10 meters to the left. Konan then enters a front stance and draws a kunai.

Description: The user manipulating their chakra generates a plasma barrier around them to serve as a defence which protects them from incoming attacks, even from something as wide-ranged as the Quicksand Waterfall Flow. However the user cannot use other techniques besides lightning release or physical based techniques while sustaining the technique. The user can rush at their opponents even if the barrier is active and use it to ram against them. The shield can be used offensively, by discharging the electricity in the direction of their choice in a wave resulting in using the energy of the barrier and ending its effects.

Description: Kawarimi no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the ninja will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object. This can be a block of wood or even another person. This allows the ninja to quickly flee and hide while the original object takes the brunt of their opponents attack. The technique is a mix between high speed movement and the use of the transformation technique but has its limits.
