Oh yes forgot about that. Rofl. And a scarf xD.

And that leads to the current young generation of America.

Butsuma definitely resembles some stern ass American father with slight bit of Christian idealogy. You can't blame the Uchiha though for having the curse of heathenism.

Dai is the best father ever in the Naruto verse!

Well in manga the author tends to forget assaults like that actually makes kids either trampled on by others, or makes them cruel. Only a very small % can naturally resist the main two outcomes. With that said, I look at it as discipline shorthand, there isn't enough time to show a proper way or recount how kids and adults would behave in the setting they are in, it's usually so far off. (like 8 year olds having the thought process/strategy of an veteran adult... just not happening...)

In america it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world for parents to discipline their kids, even slightly to harshly over not being there period (single moms and dads have it rough, and the children suffer), my generation is proof of this.

He was defending his son.. and showing respect to him. ( ). To them training your children is showing you love them. Aka tough love. xD

You say only a small amount.. by that I suppose you are ignoring all the previous generations?

Wait are you saying American parents need to discipline their kids? And i also believe why kids turn out the wrong way is because of society itself, and not usually because of parents but because of the people around us. And this leads us to hate our parents for hitting us.
