Off the top of my head I know that there are numerous species of bats and, despite there creepiness in looks and nature, are considered mammals. The don't grow to big sizes yet can live for like 30 years and fly up to 60 mph. Bats can maneuver perfectly in darkness due to there echo location qualities, even being able to release 10-20 beeps per second. Some bats migrate south for the winter while others hibernate through the cold months even being able to survive being encased in ice. Most bats have only one baby a year, making them extremely vulnerable to extinction, but I thought it was very cool that bat mothers can find their babies among thousands or millions of other bats by their unique voices and scents which lets me know how deep a bats sense is.
The world’s largest bat is the "flying fox" with a wingspan of up to 6 feet, and the world’s smallest bat is the bumble bee bat of Thailand, which is smaller than a thumbnail and weighs less than a penny.

Description: The user will perform the summoning jutsu and summon a giant bat which is the same size of Sasuke's hawk. It is able to have two people on its back and fly with no problem and has wings capable of producing air waves strong enough to push back enemies within short range (C-Rank ability), which makes this it a difficult opponent. It can fly a high speeds and scratch or bite opponents. This bat has no elemental affinity but has an incredible hearing and the same sonar-like abilities as other Bats.
Note: Only summonable once per battle.
Note: The air waves count as one of the summoner's moves per turn.
Perform the summoning technique, and summon a huge bat! He is able to create air waves with his 'ol ugly wings, C rank in strength and can bite opponents as well as scratch them. It has great hearing, and sonar-like abilities.
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kōmori no Mure) Summoning Technique: Pack of Bats

Description: After performing the summoning jutsu the user will summon a group of 25 normal size bats. These bats have no elemental affinity but can be used to use such jutsu as Bat Controlling: Ultrasonic Mid Wave Technique. These bats can also be used to attack or distract opponents by swarming them.

A technique where you will summon a pack of 25 bats that can be used for attacking, or swarming the opponent. They are coupled with another technique though, it seems.
Biting my finger I then wave 5 hand seals before slamming my palms to the ground summoning a generic giant bat. The bat flies around the cave wildy before landing next to me where I pet the fella before it reverse summons.
The final technique is pretty awesome and I'll find a way to incorporate some custom techniques with em too. I love how you can summon a pack of 25 to do your bidding as well. Like I can split them up in the case of dealing with more than one opponent and what not.
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Ryuuchou Mizu-batto) - Summoning Technique: Flowing Water Bat

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals for the summoning ritual, the user will call forth a Bat the size of Sasuke's Hawk. Its entire body being of a dark navy blue color, outlined with cyan marks. The Bat specializes in utilizing water techniques up to A-Rank that the user knows. The Flowing Water Bat adopted a special ability that resembled the "Hidden Waterfall Style: Water Slicing Blade", being able to materialize water around its wings and highly compress them into a crystalline-like fashion for increased defense. This not only offers a defensive attribute but also an offensive one, as the edges are sharp enough to slice through solids. By flapping its wings, the water can be manipulated and released in the form of a barrage of crystalline water-projectiles that reach up to long range. (This ability is considered A-Rank and can be used three times) The Bat has incredible hearing and the same sonar-like abilities as other Bats.
(Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Kyousou Tsuchi-batto) - Summoning Technique: Resilient Earth Bat

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals for the summoning ritual, the user will call forth a Bat the size of Sasuke's Hawk. Its entire body being of a dark brown color, outlined with maroon marks. The Bat specializes in utilizing earth techniques up to A-Rank that the user knows, still requiring contact with the ground to do so. The Bat has adopted a special ability that resembles the "Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique" technique, but more focused and advanced. By focusing Earth Chakra throughout its wings, the Bat can harden them to a steel-like quality. This not only increases its cutting potential, but by swiping its wings, the accumulated chakra can be transferred and released as a barrage of earthen projectiles that reach up to long range. (This ability is considered A-Rank and can be used three times) The Bat has incredible hearing and the same sonar-like abilities as other Bats.
These two are relatively similar, able to use their respective elements up to A rank, and utilize a single special ability. All bats get to use the Sonar ability.
