[Theory] Basil Hawkins; Closer to Someone We All Know

One of my 4o theories. I'm simply posting one of the shorter ones because I'm lazy....

Hello again everyone and I'm back with another of my short theory marathon. This time I'm tackling the origins of Basil Hawkins, my favorite Supernova.

Once again:
East Blue-Peaceful
West Blue-Chaotic
North Blue-Rich
South Blue-Poor

Basil Hawkins hails from North Blue and his attire is very clean and aristocratic as a child.

Even down to the purple and white theme plus the blonde hair, I say Hawkins and Cavendish are from the same kingdom.

Cavendish hails from the Kingdom of Ronmel which I believe is a wealthy kingdom in North Blue that follows a European theme and is known for their fencing. Hawkins from that exact same kingdom. We know Cavendish wields a sword and so does Hawkins.

I think another hint to this is the fact that Hawkins can curse people with his DF ability and that Cavendish, in which I am assuming, has a cursed sword.

The two of them are named after plants. Cabbage and Basil leaves.

Lastly, Tarot Cards, which Hawkins uses, are originated in Europe and is very popular to this day.

I don't really get what now exactly your theory is other than that Hawkins and Cavendish might originate from the same kingdom, which doesn't serve any particular purpose.

East Blue was only mentioned once or so by Shiki as being the weakest sea because it produces the least amount of great pirates, which Garp interpreted as East Blue being the most peaceful sea. That division of chaotic/peaceful/rich/poor is consequently on nothing based as for example the kingdom Luffy originates from had quite a lot of rich people and even East Bleu being the weakest/peaceful sea is questionable considering they brought forth the Pirate King and the entire Monkey D line, which contains the leader of the RA, a VA that was on the same level as the PK and a pirate worth 400m beri. In that regard East Blue can even be considered the most chaotic of all seas as it appears to be dead silent and then suddenly causes a massive storm.

Brook also uses a fencing style and he's from West Bleu.

Durandal was the sword of knight Roland, who became famous because of the Chanson de Roland/Song of Roland, which is one of the most famous epic poems of the Middle Ages. He was the prime example of a 'knight' and supposed shards of his sword were very popular relics in the Middle Ages. So I find it questionable that it would be a cursed sword, especially when Oda already made the Kitetsu swords as a series of cursed swords.

Cabbage was just a nickname used by Luffy because he couldn't pronounce the name and other characters started doing the same. Also cabbage is a vegetable, while basil is a herb.

Basil's theme was based around that of a magician, while that of Cavendish around a musketeer. Cavendish also left a year before the Worst Generation and Hawkins didn't show any such kind of ability on Shabondy that he could curse people the way how Cavendish has been acting. And then I'm not even mentioning that his abilities look like voodoo, which is not really European.

So in the end I don't really see where you are going with this. Yes they seem strongly influenced by European culture, but that applies to many things. They might be from the same kingdom, but there isn't much to really support that and even if that was the case, that doesn't really mean anything in particular. You're now just pretty much listing things that have a European origin, but that counts for many things in the OPverse as Oda gets his inspiration from lots of things. Half of the Strawhat crew has a European nationality if they were real.
