It evening, the cool breeze has began,the moon soon surfacing... everyone is exhausted after the day training and are now resuming back to there homes but only three prospective student remain, they await their sensei who had picked such a special period to train them in the basics of element.

Anyway, this is a little different that normal training. I would like you all to discuss with each other, what earth is in out RP; strengths, weaknesses, combinations, kg's and how most earth jutsu are formed/manipulated.

Discuss amongst yourselves for a while, each of you addressing each of the points, then bounce ideas off each other of how best to utilise earth jutsu in battle and maybe describe how you see yourself using the element.

Earth in our RP is what we do most of our battle on. It makes up about 20-25% of the world. Most of the fights in RP start off with 2 people standing on Land (Doton), so if someone had the first move, you could throw them off balance by shaking the Doton under them, leaving them open for an attack. Doton is in Lava and Dust release I believe. It is strong against Suiton due to Doton's solid exterior, making Suiton bounce off it. It is weak to Raiton due to Raiton being able to pierce Doton. Doton jutsu is usually cast by hitting your palms against the Earth, causing many things to come up. (Will edit tomarrow, going to bed. Continue without me!)

Anyways, here's all i know about doton
It is basically the ground/earth and allows the user to manipulate the surrounding earth offensively and defensively. Doton comes in different forms, such as mud, dirt, and rocks. It is versatile because you can forge it to be heavy and/or light. This jutsu is strong against water because it would absorb the water which would result in mud. However, it is weak against lighting, for it is easily broken apart with strong lightning jutsus. Kekkei Genkais that include doton would be dust release, Wood release, and lava release. I see myself using doton to counter strong water justus. I would also use doton as my main defense, because it is sturdy and would provide protection from many jutsus. As for performing actual earth jutsus, i'm not completely sure, so i'll just wait for the other answers and learn xD

the Earth element grants us the ability to internalize the mother by learning to nourish and care for ourselves.The Earth element is everything solid and resistant, everything that gives us form.Earth is a balance of both yin and yang, the feminine and masculine together. Its motion is inward and centering, and its energy is stabilizing and conserving.
as for combat,it best use to block attacks,imprison someone and harden the body if used well

Earth is the world itself, being 1/4 of the planet (25% Land, 75% Water). Earth is the plants, and trees basically nature in which is all around us. Earth is also classified as one of the five basic elemental manipulations, when one takes the nature affinity test, their paper will turn into dirt, simultaneously crumbling away.

Strengths: Due to Earth being the basic absorption of Water (Irrigation, basic Water helps Earth grow etc.), Suiton is weak against Doton, due to Suiton allowing Doton to grow, and get stronger theoretically.

Weakness: Earth is a solid base structure, when going up against drilling, or piercing base techniques (typically Raiton based techniques drill/pierce) Doton will be destroyed, due to the sheer drilling/penetrative force of Raiton.

Combinations: Doton can be combined with multiple elements, though my favorite is Katon + Doton mixture. The user(s) will mold their Katon chakra, along with Doton chakra and due to the intensity of the Katon's heat, will melt the Doton's structure turning it into Lava.

KG: Lava Release, Jinton Release, Wood Release, and the unique Explosion Release (due to the clay being Earth itself it's technically classified as Earth Chakra integration)

Most Doton Jutsu are formed/molded as a defensive type approach. Usually coming up from under the user, and/or surrounding/covering directional viewpoints of which the user is stationed.

Doton is mainly used as a protective defense as you've stated, but not only that due to its massive coverage (being the surface itself) one can cover themselves from every direction with a simple jutsu in which molds a wall (as I said due to the massive area of Doton) This would be perfect in defending yourself against techniques that require LoS (Line of Sight). Doton can also be used to elevate the user in gaining momentum as well as to quickly evade techniques in which would normally be impossible to dodge by normal means.

I don't believe Doton Chakra is a balance between Yin/Yang, I think that is chakra itself, Doton it simply added into the mix of the Yin, and Yang combination.

I actually mentioned Explosion Release as well. Due to the user implementing chakra control along with their clay (Earth-based) it together mixes into one Kekkei Genkei. Explosion Release is uncommon.

-Dr Proof- that why I indicated element not chakra, point is taken, -shinta sama- learning earth wasn't really my idea it was yours and I accepted it cos I believe you know best. I enjoy attacking and invading than blocking which earth clearly drown on that aspect of fighting. A common fixture is earth\water and earth\wind, an uncommon mixture is earth\chakra or paper bombs

Sorry for holding you guys back.

Doton is strong against Suiton due to being able to absorb it.Its weak against Raiton because Raiton travels through Doton's structure,causing it to crumble.The weakness can be seen in the Sasuke vs Deidara fight.The users known for using Doton are Oonoki(Jinton) and Deidara(Explosion)
