I don't know why we hadn't given up hope yet. We were halfway through the second day, countless people were dying everywhere. Yet we continued to push on. We continued to try to survive. Will our demise be inevitable? We are up against overwhelming odds.

The Chevy Astro's rear tires squealed for several seconds kicking up a cloud of burnt rubber smoke and left two long streaks of black through the parking lot. The vehicle swerved erratically as the driver seemed to be hitting every zombie in sight.

"Flaw, can you drive a little, er, more normal." Nocturnal shouted as he saw his side mirror get torn off the van.

Flaw reached back and slapped Nocturnal, "No back seat driving, bitch."

Nocturnal frowned, sinking back into a sulking position. "You don't have to be so mean about it."

"You wouldn't happen to have any spare shirts in your van, would you?" Zerabitu asked Greg, while pointing out the Zombie still had a death grip on her breasts.

"I'm afraid not, you'll have to make do for now." Zombie answered before anybody else could. "Though, we should find a place to get better weapons than what we have. Like a gun store maybe."

Flaw's ears perked up at that thought, "Guns, I love guns!"

"Of course you do, it makes robbing people easier." Lawliet chimed in.

"Hey, not everybody in Romania is a thief!" Flaw shouted.

"Sure, I suppose Romania has it's share of paraplegics." Zombie said with a smug look.

The van suddenly started skidding sideways as Flaw yanked up the emergency break. Somehow, without flipping the vehicle, Flaw managed to pull off the worlds worst parking job ever. About a meter from the curb and crooked as hell.

"Well, it always works in the movies." Flaw frowned, "Either way, a hunting store, it's bound to have guns!"

"Okay, we're going in. Miss Faust, you should wait in the van. If Zombies show up, lay on the horn. Do you understand?" Zombie spoke in a clear and calm voice.

"Got it, understood." Miss Faust smiled, glad she wouldn't have to leave the van.

As the group went into the store, she turned up the radio. It was the beach boys. She started dancing to the music paying absolutely no attention to her surroundings and completely disregarding her instructions.

As soon as they entered the store, it was guns galore. They conspicuously began digging through weapons until they found what they wanted.

Zombie naturally went with a Remington 870, a 12 gauge pump action shotgun. This one was retrofitted for urban combat with a polymer collapsible stock and polymer fore-grip with a pistol grip. The black metal barrel was shrouded with a ghost ring for rapid aiming on the front. The full length tube would hold seven shells plus the chamber.

Flaw, meanwhile being a Romanian, chose an AK-47. As generic as they came, chambering the standard 7.62x39mm round.

Suddenly from the back, a loud crashing sound was heard, the group looked over alerted only to see Nocturnal emerge with a massive tank on his back with hoses connected to what they could only assume was a flame thrower. "Hey guys, you're not going to believe it. I've got a flame thrower!"

Flaw looked at Zombie, then Lawliet, then back to Zombie. "Should we let him have that?"

"Let's just hope there is no fuel in it." Zombie responded with a bit of nervousness in his tone.

Lawliet, knowing absolutely nothing about guns, had picked up a Smith and Wesson 500, which consequently chambered the .500. A round of massive proportions and ridiculously overpowering recoil.

"This gun didn't look too big, or too small. I should be fine with it, right?" Lawliet questioned the group.

Zombie lied through his teeth. "That will be perfect for you!"

Zerabitu came back with a new shirt, a white tank top which was tight on her beautifully muscled body. Yet she didn't have a gun, she had a chainsaw.

"Why do you have a chainsaw, Zerabitu?" Flaw asked.

"Chainsaws are freakin' awesome, okay!" Zerabitu defended herself.

The sound of the van's horn began going off repeatedly and nonstop. The group though would be assuming the outside would be clear long enough for them to get to the van.

As they exited the building though, they were Greeted by many zombies. Without hesitation, Zombie pulled up his shotgun, the round ring focusing on the nearest group of zombies and fired off a burst of lead pellets. The tiny lead balls spread out rapidly chewing into deteriorating zombie flesh in a fantastic display of carnage.

The van was completely swarmed though, and there was no possible way they were all going to get inside of it. Even if they did, would they even be able to move with all those zombies around it?

"We have to get Miss Faust out of there." Flaw yelled as he sprayed his AK from the hip like a stereotypical Romanian.

Lawliet pulled up the Smith and Wesson 500. This was the moment Zombie was waiting for. She pulled the trigger firing it once, and the massive revolver jerked her arms straight up, the revolver flying out of her hands and landing behind her somewhere.

"Oh my, oh my! Aaaah!" Lawliet panicked and ran back inside of the building.

Zombie simply broke into hysterics over the feat. And even broke into a little dance as he proceeded to kill zombies.

At the same time, Zerabitu's chainsaw actually worked really well, clearing a path to the van, so she could get the door open. Miss Faust excitedly darted out of the van and into the building to hide. Probably with Lawliet.

At this point, the rest of the group followed suit, shutting the doors shut behind them.

And we had become trapped, like rats.

As they managed to get the doors locked, and barricades placed against them, they felt a moment of relief.

"Hey, Zerabitu made it through this one without her shirt getting ripped off." Flaw pointed out.

"She did?" Zombie seemed disappointed, until he ripped her shirt off himself. "Hand bras!" He quickly covered her breasts. "Mmmmm."

Zerabitu frowned. "Really Zombie? I was enjoying having a shirt for a while."

Nocturnal seemed the most upset. "I didn't even get to use my flamethrower, you guys were in the way."

"It's a good thing you didn't, you probably would have blown your own van up." Flaw pointed out the obvious.

"So, what are we going to do now? We're trapped in this building, and the only way out is through those doors." Lawliet seemed very upset. "And they were supposed to come and fix my internet modem today!"

We still saw matters so trivial. A few more deaths would change our views. We only survived off of luck up until this point.

Those line's made me laugh soo hard. I like it. Is part one still posted somewhere I'd like to read it. ZOMBIES are freaking awesome. I wish Hawai'i would start being swarmed with them. :)

^_^ reading your fanfics makes me want to bring mine back from the dead.

This was a good chapter, I loved the bit with L's S&W recoiling out of her hands and Flaws attempt at action parking. xd

Day 2 and 2.5 seemed to be more action oriented and less suspenceful. I'm a big fan of suspence, but the action is good too.

It can become hard incorporating suspense when the zombie attack is in full swing. Though, in the next chapter, it will be night again. ;D
