MANGA ONLY: Not taking in ANY filler-canon feats from the anime or movies. if you've never read naruto vs sasuke valley of the end fight in part 1, STOP right now and go read, i don't care if it's plausible. i'm not considering it. My statement remains the same for the future naruto vs sasuke fight in the anime. if it's not shown in the manga, i don't give a fcuk.
Back in PTS, 3T sharingan was very op, especially in possession of an uchiha. which greatly impacted sasuke's advantage over naruto so easily in the series. however, here's the thing. that impressive sasuke feat was only achievable because back then base naruto was completely average whose only advantage was quantity. his taijutsu, speed, reaction timing, his clones. all of it was mediocre. the only redeeming factor was his rasengan and even then it could only stalemate sasuke's chidori...............let's fastforward to shippuden. while the time-skip mostly focused on naruto's feat when he transformed, there was barely any shown feats of base naruto doing impressive stuff. however, that is not the case, it was very well there but overshadowed, but instead of shown all at once, it gradually revealed itself as the series progressed. base naruto is no longer just about quantity, he's now quantity and quality.
Reaction timing and dealing with swordsmanship
Naruto uses multi shadow clones assault all at once at the right time rather than one by one and his whole fight with pain and kakuzu is evidence that naruto uses his clones in the most effective tactical and skilled elite way possible according to kakashi.
Naruto's taijutsu was able to hold his own against pain, rinnegan doesn't enable perception like sharingan. but it's still worth noting.
Destructive power <------ the most important part. that separates war arc naruto from pts.
as impressive as sasuke is with his 3T sharingan with using different variants of chidori, his destructive power however only increased just to small portion. he even had to tap into his curse seal to give more juice. naruto on the otherhand, his rasengan power amplified and even added an element to it that is superior to sasuke's lightning. sure you could argue his kirin owns all, but the requirements to activate it's full power is extremely unlikely.
As for countering genjutsu and it's suppression. base naruto still contains the kyuubi within him. not only is kurama friends with naruto now, they co-op with each other the same way killer B do with his bijuu. also, thanks to kushina and minato, naruto snatched kurama's (kyuubi) chakra and it is stored within another part of naruto's seal. so suppressing kurama cannot keep naruto from going kyuubi chakra mode (not that he would in this debate, but worth noting)
Honestly, the whole sharingan being absolutely better than base naruto is just a myth. if pts naruto was able to hold his own against 2T sasuke on top of the hospital, why is it so hard to believe that base naruto in shippuden can keep up with 3T sasuke? naruto more or less contains the same abilties, except better versions out of it. Plus isn't it convenient that every time sasuke faced base naruto, that one of them or both of them were fatigue/low on chakra? hmmmmm seems like a plot excuse to keep us from finding the real truth between whose better. anyways.
Now, i'm not saying base naruto can beat any 3 tamoe sharingan, after all the sharingan is just a tool, it's whoever who uses it that determines it's capability, and honestly that's my point. sasuke himself, his capablity is really not as far above naruto's as he think he is. base naruto is equal or above it and it's amplified even further by sage mode and bijuu mode. so please, enough of the anyone > base naruto. it's far from the truth.
