Full intel? Is finding the clam necessary when summonings have time limits? He just needs to be on guard and wait the thing out. Mass shadow clones can be used to help try and locate the clam. Bunta and other toads can be used to search the area, covering the area with oil may be a lucky shot at finding the clam. Whatever the method, the point is the clam doesnt last forever.

And i agree about finger sensing. If it was chakra based, then there would be no reason for tobirama/minato to use it since they both can sense the normal way.

Unless finger sensing gives minato a direct contact with the clam then it's not working as all he'll be sensing are either mirages or nothing at all

Muu can't be seen by Gengetsu.
Gengetsu's clam(and by extension him) can't be found by muu.

He can either do 360 jinton (onooki jinton vs tree world) which would eventually hit clam and potentially gengetsu z(has to b close to clam)
Or go invisible thus neither could C each other the Mist kind of helps
