If he leaves, I'll probably drop the show. Daryl, Carol and the others can't carry the show tbh. Especially if they still loosely follow the comics.
I bet they're regretting firing Chandler Riggs(Carl). :lol

But TWD is Rick's story. If they're going to move on without him then what was the point of Carl saying "you will beat the world"
Carl basically died so Rick can find "peace" with Neegan and move on.

I still hope this is fake.

Hmmm. I'm interested to how they will continue the show with Reedus helming the lead. We also have Carol, Michonne and Rosita, so I'm fine with Rick "leaving." That's a high probability afterall since Carl died. If TWD wouldn't give Rick a new raison d'etre, might as well kill him off in a glorious sacrifice, passing the torch thing. I couldn't say the same for Maggie though. If TWD still has 5+ seasons to come, it's only Maggie who bridges everyone to that future. I hope to see Georgie soon.

Maybe it's just me, but I never contained myself into watching the show as just Rick's story. I need Angela Kang to successfully breathe new air for season 9 and beyond. We all need authentic character interactions which was compromised during the war against Negan.
