The manga ends in a few chapters, and the main conflict is resolved. But the movie won't hit US theatres for years due to how translation works and the rights needing to be settled... early 2015 release for Japan at best. Maybe a 2016 release in America, if there even *is* one at all. Um, yeah. Sorry guys.

I already knew this as many people do. Way to be the jackass that makes the thread saying "haha, English speaking fans"

On a more serious note it will probably be available online once it's released on DVD in Japan. Then it will be subbed and put online. It's unlikely we'll get it prior because Japanese laws about recording in theaters are strict.

It's always possible we'll get the Korean version subbed before then like what happened with road to ninja but I wouldn't cross my fingers

I doubt it will come out in US theaters all and probably won't be actually dubbed for several years. Nobody likes the English dub anyway though.

Doesn't really bother me I'm more interested in one piece these days anyway.

you do know there are Americans who prefer subbed over dubbed, do you? The plot sounds like watching it is a lost cause anyway, unless you're a Byakugan mark.

Naruto dub is atrocious.

Only a few characters have decent English voices. :p

*sarcasm* Yeah man to bad for american fans of the manga we dont get the scans until viz releases them later in the month *end sarcasm* There are ways around that problem. Just like there are ways to get the manga in America before official release. How many people on base wait until Viz releases naruto to read it. And how many of those do you think actually pay viz for scans lol.

Who the hell cares? The subbed versions will be out like a month after it's official release.

Additionally, there are places in the United States (and I'm guessing other English speaking countries) that sell the subbed Japanese DVDs. I bought Road to Ninja subbed at a mall in Georgia. Not to mention that there are other websites that'll probably have it for sale.

Yeah but how long for official subs

Road to Ninja took two years for a DUB to come out and that's only in theaters. There isn't even a release date for the DVD yet, so it's still difficult to get an opportunity to see an official version of it. For anyone who is waiting for an official sub: still no luck.

EDIT: I just found some DVDs but so far they are imports. Viz, their official US distributor has nothing on their site when I search. I have a DVD of Will of Fire with the most incoherent subs ever. I also have Blood Prison (also got the official one on Blu-ray. The Import did not have the extra scenes) and the subs in that are better, it just has typoes.

Everyone knows it takes around 9 months to get these movies in full official subtitles, dubbed literally takes years. Its not a matter of the time it takes to sub it, but rather when they are released for public sale, ie public subtitling. Apart from watching a pocket camera raw version of the movie, you're stuck waiting 9 months.

about 3 months after fan subs are released

*facepalm* dude it's been a solid 18 months since a fansub for Road to Ninja came out and there is yet to be an official sub. I'm curious about your numbers.

Not really the dub sucks, watch it subbed the day it's released on DVD in Japan, and if your fan enough to support the series buy the dvd from a japanese import site(I got road to ninja for a fair price on play-asia I think) or wait for the English version.
