Who took care of Naruto when he was born from the point we see him in the manga? At first I was thinking Sarutobi or Iruka or something but I know it wasn't Iruka because of he only heard of Naruto when he was joining the academy and that only leaves Sarutobi, but I just don't think he did, also, how did he earn money for food and stuff? Did I just miss this stuff?

I think that was the original version of naruto but then they changed it because the nine tailed fox looks totally different

He was taken care of by the village, mostly by the Third and a few others whom I don´t know. When he grew old enough to take care of himself(pretty young but still) he was given money and an apartment. Sort of like welfare.
