Why is it that my avatar seems smaller and less wide then the avatar of some other people..?

Because yours is 150x300 , mine is 150x200

The avatar you were going to use was 150x300 in size.
Only premium members or moderators are allowed to have an avatar of 150x300, normal users can only use 150x200.
It basically resized your avatar to fit the allowed size.

Because it is smaller and less wide than the rest of the users.
Yours is 100x200 while the maximum allowed size for non premium users is 150x200.
