I think I like the story of the first Avatar better than the Sage of Six Paths origin story. The way Wan went around the world, gaining new elements and bonding with the spirits was very interesting. Hagoromo is still cool too though.

Other than the fact that they both wanted to make peace, I'm not seeing a connection. The sage seems more like a stoic while Wan seemed like Naruto.
