Working with stocks is easy, I taught myself over time.

In your case you should add boarders it might make them look nicer=D

Nice attempt.

You should work on Cropping (AKA: What exactly ends up in the pic).

The Premium image has way too much free space on the right for my taste. The girl is the main focus of the image, so when her entirety fits in half the image, its a ton of wasted space.

Instead, try to center her a tad more in the pic, and cut it so she's taking up the majority of the space. If a little bit of her (like say the hand) is cut out, so be it. Take some time to look at other people's avatars, and you'll notice the "high quality ones" often are more so close ups of characters that cut out some parts (For example, the first two posters in this thread).

Your best bet for this particular image is to focus more towards the upper body of the girl. Maybe going down to the waist or just passed it, and then maybe slightly outside of the shoulders.

Then add a very small 1x1 border that's black. The nice small border is a nice touch that gives a crisp cut to the image, and helps with parts of the body like say a hand that's been cropped out.
