Avatar: The Continuation of Destiny - Chapter 2
Slow chapter, but from where Avatar left off, I had to do this. And better to get chapters like this over with sooner than later right?
Chapter 1:
Toph Bei Fong knocked twice on her own door, ignoring the guards who were too stunned to even greet her. After waiting a few, awkward moments, and trying to think about what to say, the door opened slightly, and was suddenly pushed open, revealing her father, who was in great astonishment. And suddenly, his astonished face, seemed to morph into a face of disappointment.
?I?m surprised that you would even come back,? her father said, almost in a cold tone.
Toph seemed puzzled, ?You?re not even happy that your own daughter returned? After nearly a year. You seem disappointed about it!? she replied, her voice growing increasingly louder.
Lao closed his eyes, ?You should know why I have a right to be disappointed.?
Toph, almost with tears in her eyes, replied in a softer tone, knowing that he was mostly right for this, ?I know, but??
Lao cut her off midsentence by grabbing her arm and pulling her into a hug that nearly cut off her breathing, ?But you should also know why I am the proudest father in the world right now.?
Toph?s complete mood suddenly changed, her tears of sorrow became those of joy, the density of the air due to sheer stress, became as light as a feather, and most of all, the love she had for her father became larger than it had ever been. Toph felt as though she could stay in his arms forever.
?Come, and eat with me. You?re mother has wanted to see you for much too long to make her wait another moment.

Sokka climbed down from Appa, in front of his master?s gate.
?Thanks Katara,? he said to his sister.
?Just hurry, Kanna will wonder where you are if you show up too late after I do,? Hakoda
warned.
He nodded and started walking towards the gate.
After knocking twice on the gate, Fat opened the door, a wide smile coming on his face.
The smile nearly surprised Sokka, Fat always seemed like a serious, sometimes even melancholy, man to him.
?Sokka, welcome. Hurry in. Piando will be more than glad to see you, and talk to you on less... war-related subjects.?
Sokka smirked.
?Hey, Fat. Or maybe I should call you in more proper terms, Obese!? Sokka exclaimed with a massive smile, making an attempt to make him laugh.
Fat?s smile dropped into a serious frown, ?I almost thought that you were more mature than when we last met, but I suppose it?s too soon for that to change so quickly.?

Only a few, short hours after Sokka arrived at Piando?s palace, Katara and General Hakoda arrived at the Southern Water Tribe?home. The second their feet dropped to the cold ice, she was ambushed with hugs and congratulations.
They made their way through the throng of people, a throng compared to the small number of people that live in the Southern Water Tribe, mostly children, and finally made it to her, Kanna.
Kanna walked up to them, and gave them both a tight hug, grabbing each of their necks with a separate arm.
?I am so proud of you,? were the only words she could muster at the moment. After letting out tears, she turned slightly more towards her son, ?Both of you.?

Aang glided through the air, as gracefully as ever. Everyone seemed to have such important business to attend to, he figured that he should do something, with an oncoming war and all, he thought it would be best to be prepared, even if the war may not happen.
He was gliding towards the only man alive that could possibly train the Avatar, especially after having mastered the Avatar State?Guru Pathik.
Aang landed on the base of the Eastern Air Temple, and tapped the base with his glider, returning it to the form of a staff. The Guru was meditating, but he had saw Aang coming before he even landed.
?The Avatar is here to see me, what an honor! Expected, but an honor indeed!? he said in his usual lively tone.
?Uh... It?s good to see you too.? Aang said, it was so usual for him to feel awkward around the Guru, that the feeling of awkwardness became usual to him, it was strange, but so was Pathik, ?Anyway, a war may be coming soon.?
?Yes, yes, I foresaw this, and hoped that it wouldn?t happen, seems as though it is too late. And a fully realized Avatar as come to me for help on this because...??
?I need your help, there has to be something that you can still teach me.?
Pathik sighed, ?Listen, Aang. You are now a fully realized Avatar, as I said. You have proven that you mastered the Avatar State, making you the protector of the world. You, of course, were considered the protector of the world the moment you were born, but now, that title as taken into effect. From now on, it should be I who goes to you for help, not you who comes to me. And other than that reason, you have surpassed by knowledge. The only thing that would be left for you to do is to continue training to completely master the four elements, and further your knowledge of energy bending. Neither of which I can help you with. I?m sorry Aang, but the only ones who can help you in the physical world now, would be your bending masters, but doing nothing more than helping you train, the lion turtles who taught you energy bending, and yourself.?
?So, what your saying is, I?m on my own, for the most part,? Aang looked down with a resigned stare.
?You?re never on your own. True, I cannot teach you anything new, but I can always guide you through the journey in the spiritual world, and tell you where you are in your time of need. And then, of course, besides your friends, you have all of your past lives at the tips of your fingers. Aang, you are never alone in this.?
Aang smiled, ?Well, can I still meditate with you??
The Guru gave a smile off as well, ?But of course.?
The Guru had assured Aang in a time of need, but throughout the meditation, he was always brought back to the thought that there was nothing more that he could learn. And he wondered still, was this a good thing, or bad?
