Aang was fun-loving, somewhat naive, and adventurous with a sense of humor. He possessed a deep respect for life and freedom, refused to eat meat and was often reluctant to fight in his younger years.He craved the stimulation of new people and places. His frequent off-course detours frustrated both allies and pursuers alike. He typically wished to forget his duties as the Avatar and would long for the normality that others possessed. Yet Aang had always prided himself on a complex social network of friends extending over all four nations, and war did not stand in his way. In addition, he looked forward to playing with all the exotic fauna in each place he visited. Whether it was otter penguins, hopping llamas, hog monkeys, or giant koi fish, no fit animal Aang saw went un-ridden.

Background Info
History:
Early life
Aang was born during the the first great ninja war in a time of constant battle. Kirigakure had been in the war aswell in this war torn era children were still used for battle despite hashiramas pleas to the other villages not to do so, Kirigakure would not entertain Konohas wishes and used their many advanced blood line ninjas to battle. Aang only 12 at the time was one of these ninjas he fought in the war against many clans ranging from the uchiha of the leaf to the scorch users of the sand and even some lava users from iwagakure, Aangs own unique bloodline kept him alive using his Ice release to escape or win a battle but never kill his enemy. Around the wars end Kirigakure began to fear the Blood line users and great prejudice was spread around the village. One night only a few months before the second great war broke out Aang ran away from his parents and clan as he escaped he was attacked and left for dead in the bottom of the ocean but Aang in a last ditch effort encased himself in ice preserving him from harm. After that moment kirigakure went into a series of civil wars that would eventually lead Aangs clan into hiding.
Aangs war
100 years passed and through the drift of the oceans Aangs Ice prison found its way to the land of iron where two siblings found him. One named Katara and the other sokka Katara using her water style ninjutsu broke Aang out of the ice, upon waking up and seeing Kataras face aang fell in love with her at first sight. He got up and toke his kirigakure headband off throwing it into the ocean and watched it sink. Sokka was skeptic of Aang while Katara wanted to trust him they brought him back to their hut in the land of iron just outside of the Samurais range, it was a small village with some shinobi and some samurai it was a melting pot. Katara and sokkas father was a samurai, and their late mother had fled Kirigakure when she was younger but was a shinobi before hand, Katara had learned ninjutsu from her mother before her passing. Her mother was killed by an uchiha and since then Katara had little trust of any Uchiha. Sokka had learned Samurai skills from his father.
Aang soon learned while living with them that 100 years had passed since then, and that most if not all members of his clan had been wiped out, Aang was overcome with Guilt thinking he could have saved someone. However Aang had no time to mourn soon after the village was attacked by a small group aiming to take advantage of the poor people. Aang promised himself he'd never run away again and he'd be there this time. Aang Aided in the fight but was caught off guard by a lighting style ninjutsu and died.
Aang woke up several months later on a boat and wandered aimlessly until he found Sokka Aang sat next to Sokka and asked what had happened. Sokka looked at Aang with anger then sadness and told him of his sisters sacrifice.
Katara used a forbidden water style ninjutsu to revive Aang, but at the cost of her own life

Aang wanted revenge despite his peaceful nature and went out and trained learning each element traveling from Nation to nation, learning Earth style from Toph, and fire style and lighting style from the group leaders son Zuko, finally after a year he had mastered every element, sokka ahd also underwent training and had mastered the ways of the Samurai and he to going against the Samurai way wanted revenge. Aang sought out the leader of the group Ozai and fought him in a battle to the death.
It was a long and intense battle and right as Aang was about to land the final blow he stopped himself. Knowing it was wrong to kill this person for his own personal desires. Ozai then attacked Aang while he back was turned but Aang stopped and captured him
The Future
Aang traveled the World thereafter parting ways with Sokka and promising to meet him again one day.
Aang first traveled to the rain village spending a couple years there as a nomad, then he went to kumogakure and spent a few months there but once again left Aang had traveled to each of the great nations and every minor village having seen the entire world over the course of many years. One day Aang had heard rumors of Konohagakure having been burned to the ground by two ninja both very powerful, when Aang arrived he found few ninja from the surviving nation. Seeing them reminded him of himself after his clan and soon after that Katara. Aang sought out the new Hokage at the time Izuna the fourth and joined the village Aang would not wear the headband because of his Tattos though it reminded him of his family and he refused to remove it. There was many hokages After Scary yamatao, mc razor, ryujin, and mugen Aang aided scorps in his over throw of mugen by fighting Omega who was for Mugen but allowed Omega to live. Scorps was hokage for a short while until Oasis, then after him Nathan who taught Aang another version of the Ice style, Hot ice. Aang stays in Konoha most days now but still travels from time to time.

Ice & Wind Elements ➟ Aang's extensive training and ability to control the chakra natures of Ice and Wind made him excel in their usage. Coming to master these elements, Aang is capable of casting ice techniques with the need of a single handseal, and cast Wind techniques with faster handseal speed. ALso from years training in the mist village aang can see through the mist with ease.
Weapons ➟Aang has a custom weapon known as the ring of frost which allows him to create any weapon out of the wind,water or Ice natures. Aang also carries a staff with him that he can open up to be a glider and can also double as a Fan for the wind jutsu that require a fan for their useage.
