Australian Size and US Size shirts?

I m buying a shirt for a friend who is Australian and he told me he wears a medium over there, what size would that be in US size?

He would apparently still be a medium, but U.S medium ranges between Medium and Large for Australia... an awkward one, but look for a medium that actually looks like a medium lol.

I am not sure, but apparently a "large" Australian burger is a similar size to a "small" burger in the US, so that might give you a clue. :bdpf:
