☞ HOW TO RP: ATTRIBUTE POINTS
✖ WHAT ARE ATTRIBUTES?
Attributes are a new addition to the Naruto Role Play, allowing for customization in terms of power and skills in ways unlike before when combined with the Nindo system and the updated Specialty System. These Attributes represent a character’s Speed, Damage, Health, Chakra, and Tracking capabilities. Filled with Attribute Points allocated through special missions, events and tournaments, these Attributes will allow you to increase your skills in various ways. Each Attribute has a specific purpose that is important to every build, some offering direct damage increases while some offer unique perks as your skill with them raises.
Certain Canon skills, namely the various Kekkei Genkeis and Hidden Abilities, give base AP increases. These increases are allocated in specific ways, increasing some stats in very specific ways such as the Mangekyo Sharingan giving +2 to Spirit and +1 to Dexterity when activated, while others such as Sage Transformation giving +1 to Body at base. Some Canon Characters also grant base AP increases, such as the various Six Paths characters. It should be noted that in all instances where Attribute Points are gained, the highest collection from one source will be gained and these will not stack together. What this means is that if two KGs that give AP are held simultaneously, only the highest source of AP will be kept. Sage Rank, however, is the only base AP increases that will ever stack with other sources, gaining 2 Bonus AP.
✖ ATTRIBUTE LIMITATIONS
While each of these Attributes are capable of reaching 10 points each, there are limitations put in place that forces members to spread their points out more; by the time a RPer has 10 Attribute Points, every attribute must have a minimum of 2 points, excluding Vitality which is treated as a bonus attribute. This causes members to spread their first 10 points evenly. In addition to this, members will only be able to max out 2 stats with the others capping at 8 points. This forces more unique builds to arise from this new system. Should the need ever arise, a higher cap may be placed as Attributes increase.
Attributes cannot be lowered by any means outside of specific Advanced Ninjutsu. Even with these specific abilities, they can only target specific Attributes at any given time. S ranked techniques from these fields can cause a total reduction of 2 AP and A ranks can reduce 1 AP. Attributes can not be reduced by more than one technique at a time, unable to allow 2 of them to apply at one time. Should one debuff a target’s AP, they cannot likewise increase their own during this time.
