I'm ashamed of buying my 3DS but I'm not ashamed of playing Pokemon and Smash that is literally all I use this for. Oh and as well as an MP3 til I get my galaxy. Sadly I want the wii U just for smash :/

You should have waited for the New 3DS bro but hey no one knew it was coming except for optimists.

Smash Bros itself is not worth it, but you will still be happy you bought it in the end so if you can afford it and don't want a PS4 or Xbone then go for it bro.

It is totally Nintendo's fault they lost Square. They made to jump to CDs with Gamecube which really turned out to be let down because third party wasn't with the small CD thing they were going for. I think the real problem is them trying too hard to be different. It really hurts them. Glad they have the smaller cartridges for the 3DS even Sony went that route. They are basically SD cards now though so I wouldn't compare them to the N64 blow it out before you put it in cartridges.

Yes that hurt big time. I remember the day I heard about it, I ended up buying a PS, which was never my intention. Gamecube was alright, but like I said, the Wii is what brought back Nintendo. The DS/3DS played a huge part, but the Wii let you download old games that can no longer be played on old consoles unless you buy extensions for them. Yes it came at a price, but it's not different then what you'd pay if you bought the game in the store.

You thought that was bad? Try blowing the NES or SNEs ones! I did more blowing than playing on many occasions. XD

Fallen companies do usually go under and die but we all know Nintendo is somewhat rich and they will be making games for a long time (even though they will only release games for a handheld and move on 2 years later ala New 3DS) Now Pokemon. Pokemon is not something most grown men play. I honestly am not going out to pick up the latest Pokemon game and be grabbing a Pokemon Amibo toy so I can use it with my 3DS. It's just not for everyone so Nintendo can not expect for every one of their fans to like that game, same with Mario and Zelda. Some people have a different taste in Nintendo games. Most fans think that being a Nintendo fan means you have to be a Nintendrone and play every game Nintendo has to offer, but sorry that's not gonna happen and that's not gaming at it's core it's just a biased opinion Lol Smash Bros is cool too but I'm not picking up a Wii U just to play one cool game that's just being released after all of it's setbacks. Not happening. I will be playing Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (Which is not coming to the Wii U)

Yes but you said kids need to be interested and Pokemon is the route to go for that. That will maintain things for a long time to come, along with games like Smash Bros. The younger generation will continue to buy those types of games, still keeping the company above water.

Nope they will not get out of the danger zone by just catering to kids! OMG look at the mess there in now if they went full kid eruption they would lose all of the 3rd Party support and they barely even have any at the moment Lolz And I'm tired of talking about COD. There are so many games that aren't on the Wii U such as Destiny which is what everyone is playing at the moment even though the Nintendrones claim they don't need it (Hiding the fact they wanna play it, more than a dog wants to attack the sirloin steak you're cooking on the stove) Nintendo doesn't see that kids of this generation don't know what gaming is so they attack there minds with a system like this just to get there parents to buy it for them. Kids are too busy being brainwashed by today's mass of cartoon garbage, than sit through a beautiful Zelda game.

Not just kids, but add kids into the equation. It has to be a balance of all ages, since all ages play games. It's not just for kids anymore. I think they have focused too much on the older kids. That's more for the PS imo. When LOZ: Skyward Sword came out, it broke records!

I'm never been a Final Fantasy fan so I can't really speak on that series, but I agree they aren't as popular as they were back in the day. Nintendo will be grabbing in everyone's pockets again you can bet on that. They will release a few more games for this console and then BOOM Wii U #2 and guess what. Your old games are supported but you can't use your old touch controller and you still can't play Wii games.

FF was cute sprites with epic stories, not the best graphics, but amazing characters and midi music composed with emotion that affected your game play in a way that brought you into the game. Now it's all about real looking characters, pop songs and no decent story. They went the graphics route and forget what Ff is all about!

Yea the Wii really brought me back to Nintendo. I still have my old wii and still use it from time to time. And yea with my NES it was much worse I could barely get my Super Mario/Duck Hunt to play sometimes Lol

Yes that is true if the kids put their money into Pokemon and Smash the comany will rise, but there are other things that Nintendo has to handle because they are trying to target the hardcore gamers too and they're doing a horrible job at it.

I could tell FF had fallen from what it used to be about. I haven't played many of the games but I think that every FF should be exactly like FF Dissidia 012 that was released on PSP. The graphics where nothing fancy it was just a good story and good action packed game that gave you a choice to play it classical or free fighting stlye. If every game was in that mass of quality they wouldn't have much of a problem.

I agree, kids and hardcore gamers are the key to remaining alive! EA has really stepped up and taken over in many aspects that way.

I only bought the PSP just for that 2 game series!
