its really in her bone structure. the human brain is quite adept at recognizing faces, so theres really only a couple milimeters of difference between men and women. its gonna take some serious talent to distinguish the two. Luckily we know that tsunade is a girl.

A good example though is deidara vs ino. The hair etc is identical but we can tell one from another because of SLIGHT facial tweaks. Good drawing though

Are you seriously using Deidara and Ino as an example? : D Weird.
I have to look at faces more and see the difference, since I have seen many men who look like women and vice versa.

And failed.

:( I'll keep on practicing. Do you have sand in your vagina or what?

It's not that your are doing anything wrong. It's that she has the muscle tone of a male. The face is fine. The color is great. But females of Tsunade's stature a bit more rounded and smooth. Maybe less emphasis on the muscle tone. Try looking at Victoria Secret catalogs or Women's beauty or swimsuit magazine and pay close attention to the curves and contours of the female body. They are more rounded and smoother than a male's body.

There are women who do have the kind of build you have drawn on Tsunade. Tsunade herself, however is not that toned. Still overall 3/5 for color facial expressions and pose. keep up the good work. :win:

Seriously! I always draw a muscular Tsunade. I do that on purpose. : D The face is the thing.
And remember that I'm not trying to draw like Kishimoto, I have my own style.

Don't let the negative comments get to you. I actually use to draw my women like this until I took an anatomy and life Drawing Class which helped me distinguish between drawing a man and woman's face. Here is an example of one of my own Naruto Fan Fiction Drawings of a Kumo Female Raikage. Notice the face is not as rigid as a males face would be. It is still done in my own style.

Hope that helps abit.

it's not that hard to draw a womans face.
you're just overdoing some parts.
give it a smaller jaw, smaller nose, cat like eyes.
also you're overdoing the shoulders and arms, make it more slim ;)

I just got annoyed when people were whining about her muscles. I like my Tsunade with muscle. :/
If you really look at women there is not really that much difference in shoulders really, I mean in how wide they are. Women do have wider hips and smaller arms in general. And do have more fat in their body than men do generally.
I like your coloring style.

Too many details then? Except this face look stupid because it actually lacks so many details.
And I'm not even trying to make my drawing look attractive. That's why I don't feel a need to make her arms slim and girly. : D
I mean, many women have muscular arms! At least if they work out...
Okay. Maybe they could be a little slimmer. But I'm not giving up on those muscles!

I get what you are trying to do with the muscular Tsunade style. I've seen a number of super buffed out Sakura art as well...Like really buffed out Sakura, XD and thank you

I just like to make her look strong. It's nothing sexual. : D

nah, it's not too many details, just 2 or 3 small tweaks on the face (mostly a smaller jaw).
nothing wrong with muscular woman, you can make it a bit more slim but still muscular. :p

Yeah, I get what you mean. In reality women don't have that much smaller noses you know. Maybe it's the jaw.

the face seems a little fat you need to add more curves. and the bottom lip shouldn't be that big. Also the nose in Naruto can be drawn with only using 2 lines defining the nostrils.
