Attaining Rinnegan: The MOST overly saturated event in the Naruto story.

Attaining Rinnegan... how many years have we heard of it now? In the beginning, it was cool. But as time has gone by and the less unique it's become with Obito, Madara and now possibly Sasuke about to attain it... it's become seriously overdone. But not on in the story has it become annoying and overdone, but it's even worse on this site. With everyone talking about some awakening or attaining Rinnegan, some way or another... it's just too unbearable at this point. Now granted, I know this is a discussion forum and people can discuss what they want, in the confines of the R&R (this statement could end this thread), but for the sake of conversation, does anyone is get annoying by "Rinnegan this and Rinnegan that"? I'm ready for one of two things to occur, either Sasuke attains Rinnegan and only he owns it or Sasuke attains an even more powerful eye dojutsu and the Rinnegan becomes watered down to the MS or the Byakugan.

The Rinnegan has been attained twice. Once by the Sage, and once by Madara. Apparently it's very difficult to awaken.

Actually, I cant be so sure about that. I have already come up with a plausible way for him to acheive Rinnengan or at least a form of Rinnengan

I thought it was cooler to use rinnegan techniques (aka rikudou no Justus), just by being Uchiha and senju.

The whole rinnegan did seem repetitive at first, that is until Madara opened a new rinnegan technique besides the six path Justu.

Well, its the same thing for Sharingan, ms and ems, they were cool at some point, but at some point they got overused in the manga and thus boring.
I don't want to, but I just cant stop comparing doujutsu with saiyajin stages, because they are used the exact same way in Naruto and DB. Wich is sad, because bothe are repetetive and not very original, it's as if the writers were just out of ideas to create something new and interesting, so they had to use the same idea over and over again...

Originally, I had "awaken" in place of "attain", but I changed it because of the definition of the word "attain".

Attain - succeed in achieving (something that one desires and has worked for).

That definition is broad enough, imo, to include "awaken".

Awaken - rouse from sleep; cause to stop sleeping.

Now one could say, you don't have to work to awaken Rinnegan, it just occurs when certain events take place. But as we've seen with Madara so far (according to his story), he actually had to WORK to achieve his awakening. HOW? Well, we most of us know that. For those with either Uchiha or Senju blood and not the other, you have to "attain" the other bloodline to awaken Rinnegan, is just one example.
