The sword with which urahara was attacked while ichigo was held captive in garganta is similiar to
Ulquiorra's sword or the attacker is ulquiorra himself.

REFER TO CHAPTER 341 page 6 (ulquiorra's sword) and CHAPTER 500 page 17(sword next to urahara keisuke) for
comparison between the two swords.



I know it sounds ridiculous that ulquiorra is alive but there is a possibility.

i think kubo left such a long time in between the chapters where he introduce the attacker to when he reveils the attack for one reason, to gather info on who the community thinks it could be. Hence its probably going to be grimmjaw. He is by far everybodies favourite espada.

personally I think grimmjow isn't strong enough as he got his arm cut off by tousen
and couldn't even react and was on his knees under the mere pressure or aizen's
reatsu .I mean why build his character further.
On the other hand ulquiorra was espada 4 despite not
showing his resurrection Segunda estapa to aizen.
He was also good at analysing his opponents every move
and could have easily faked his death.

Faked his death? He was depleted of reiatsu. His entire body disintegrated. Most importantly, WHY WOULD ULQUIORRA WANT TO FAKE HIS DEATH? Unless you see him as a coward which would show you didn't even know him.

You're stuck living in the past. It's been over 17 months. Grimmjow is like Bleach's Vegeta. He would have gone into overdrive training after being beaten by Ichigo. He may have even reached a Segunda Etapa of his own.

Storywise, it makes much more sense for it to be Grimmjow because there was already an Ichigo-Grimmjow rivalry going on. I don't see any place for Ulquiorra.

Except Halibel is a prisoner at the Vandenreich HQ and we have no idea where that is.

I agree it is unlikely that ulquiorra would be revived by kubo but we all are simply predicting things. We all saw juha bach slicing yamaji's body into half and then blowing it to bits however there is still some speculation that he may have survived by using a decoy or some illusion.
In the same way ulquiorra's survival even though unlikely remains a possibility.
No offence but i still believe grimmjow isn't strong enough for further character development. however if he did go into overdrive training and achieved a segunda etapa of his own it may still be interesting.

Just wanted to point out that grimmjow's role in this anime series was discontinued 17 months ago just like ulquiorra's so maybe i'm not the only one STUCK IN THE PAST.

Who said Grimmjow's story finished 17 months ago? The difference between Grimmjow and Ulquiorra is that Ulquiorra died. Grimmjow on the other hand was explicitly confirmed to return by Kubo. He confirmed it in the same magazine interview article where he confirmed Nell's return.

I said discontinued 17 months ago which means it is yet to be continued.
I never said finished. Also i did express my opinion that grimmjow'ss revival is a possibility on the grounds that he has become a lot stronger.
On the other hand thank you for informing me that grimmjow's revival has been explicitly confirmed by kubo. I wasn't aware of that.

Whoever it is took Urahara by surprise, judging by the look on his face. I think it would be weird for the first person this new guy/girl goes it is Urahara if it were Ulquiorra or Grimmjow. Both of those characters would most likely go to Ichigo first, no?

And why does it have to be someone from the previous arcs? Something that bothered me about before was that the Vasto Lordes were built up and described as being strong enough to take on more than one Captain-level shinigami. None of the Espada really seemed to fit this description except maybe Barragan, Starkk and Ulquiorra. It wouldn't surprise me if this turned out to be some new Vasto Lorde.

maybe its high time to think that its the Vasto Lorde who might be holding the sword. They are the only ones yet to confirm. and judging from what was said about them being as powerful if not more powerful than captain class, they might surprise Urahara.

Would be good to see them right here. Its been quite some time since we heard from the Vasto Lorde. Maybe they will fight with the shinigami against the quincies so as to free their comrades who are imprisoned..
