the main character is a ripoff of naruto
What?
Excuse me!
Eren doesn't want anyone's attention.
Eren doesn't give a f**k whether he has friends or not.
Eren isn't hated by his villagers.
Eren rarely make jokes. he's almost serious everytime.
Eren is crazy, he kills 2 f**king criminals when he is just a kid, just because he wants to avenge people who he doesn't even know clearly.
Eren is not an idiot. well, he is not smart either.
Eren's goal is not to become someone who has high position and be loved by everyone. he just want to go outside the walls, to be free and to f**king kill titans.
Eren dares to kill his friends if they are traitors.
Eren sometimes doesn't care about innocent people(he kills civilians while fighting with female titan round 2).

I actually avoided AoT for almost a year. Not because of the its quality or anything, but because of all the f**king HYPE!! Anything with so much hype to me feels its INFINITELY over-exaggerated. And if I get around to watching and finishing it, I'll regret ever watching it and I'd hate the fanbase. For personal examples, I'll point to SAO, there was so much talk on how it was the year's must-see. So I watched the first episode, and I thought "This will be interesting" and it wasn't. There were annoying and uncalled for time-skips, unnecessary harem and flirting moments, very little character development, and a WTF! montage (not moment) with his cousin. Other example I haven't and will never touch is the Twilight saga.

OT: Recently finished it and it actually lives up to it hype. Not the "GREATEST ANIME CREATED BY MAN!!!" No, but it is well done in characters, plot, animation, and even theme. And for once I found a fanbase to an anime where the fans are complete d****. (as of now) Might start the manga to get ahead.
