Sure, it's worth a try.

It's slightly above average.

I think the anime did it justice. That's where most of the fanbase is, anyway. :lol

Probably the anime. I can't say that I've read the manga from the start, but comparing to what I've read after; the anime did it justice. Manga has been getting retarded.

Haven't seen it, but if it's anything like Dragon Ball Evolution... stay away; far, far away.

The anime is indeed really good, one of the best I've ever watched, animation wise at the very least. On the other hand, what makes Attack on Titan unique is not the anime but the manga. However, that's not because the anime is bad but rather becausu it hasn't caught up to the manga since it takes a lot of time to produce episodes of such high quality. But yeah the manga is way better because it's way more developed. When you first watch the anime, you'll might think that it's all about humans vs titans wth very few side themes. Well, the manga develops these "side themes" and integrates them in the plot. If I were to describe the manga's plot as a whole, it would be an ingenious allegory of human nature and the desire for freedom and lust to politcally conquer the masses. Definitely in my top 3, it's original and that means increbily lot nowadays.

1-Tokyo Ghoul/Tokyo Ghoul re
2- Attack on Titan
3- Fullmetal Alchemist

These 3 have the most solid plots.

The anime is really thrilling and entertaining. The manga delves into a plot that's far more complex than most people realize or wanna give it credit for. I'd say it's comparable to Death Note once you hit a certain point. It has lots of foreshadowing. I definitely recommend it.

I disagree, Death note started off as something unique and awesome but they didn't develop the whole idea as much as they could. On the other hand, Attack on Titan might seem simple at first glance but if you actually take your time and read carefully the manga as well, you'll see that even if they take advantage of its original plot to push the sales, they're still willing to introduce new elements to make the story even more intriguing, avoiding thus becoming repetitive, at least that's how I see it. For instance, when I first started reading the manga, once the anime had finished, I felt a bit let down for the simple fact that I had seen potential in it which wasn't taken advantage of in the fullest. However, after some chapters, having seen the whole political aspect that is integrated as well as some other elements, I saw it under a different light and it was only then that I decided that it was indeed that good.

Attack on Titan is overhyped only for those who don't take their time to read between the lines. If you do that, then you'll see that it's perfectly justified.

*Spoilers i still think death note is better than aot. reason:
i didnot liked beast titan. he came from nowhere.
i always thought main villain was colossal titan who was eren's dad:'( (sadly it didnot happen).
my fav Annie is now in a comatose position whereas reinar is still roaming outside killing humans(these are my personal opinion)
On the other hand DN was short but it was fully action packed. i didnot liked the new L and thought the ending was lame. still it was one of the best anime i saw

Yeah I consider it as well one of the best due to its originality but it could have definitely explored more things by being exactly this original. As for Aot, I just think that you're a bit impatient XD The way I see it, everything will be explained, just take your time with it.

That is pure speculation, I need some concrete evidence. Besides, the chapters are long so they can fill a lot of material, most of what you said are not even unexplained things but rather disappointment for things not turning out the way you wanted to.

i saw in this forum somebody posted that he/she should read manga as it is already 80percent completed. that's why i brought this issue and yes i m highly dissappointed with a lot of things in manga, thats why i think DN is better then AOT(but that's my opinion).
