Attack on Titan, why?

I didn't find it even remotely enjoyable. It's one of those show made out of 75% hype and 25% actual quality. The quality of AoT comes from its animation I'll give it that. In other areas like characters and plot, well... let's just say it doesn't do that good.

It's not that great. It's a rehashed premise. The only thing noteworthy about it is that it kills people. Unlike most other shounen, people actually die in AoT. Besides that, it's way overrated and way overhyped.

The animation and music are both awesome.

It has a decent plot. Not great, but it's more than most people give it credit for.

It has likeable characters, and it evokes a real sense of danger and suspense, which keeps you on your toes and keeps it interesting. The fights are good.

These are its strengths imo.

But, as with many things nowadays, if people see something and didn't really like it, and then see other people really enjoying it, it's "overrated." If you want a sense of its quality, you should watch it for yourself. I highly recommend trying it out, but don't let what people say here determine its quality for you.

It has the mystery and suspense factor which manages to hook you. The characters aren't all that great and the pacing could do better. I would read the manga and avoid the anime. Very enjoyable.

The reason why Attack On Titan is good is because the Author took Human Psychology (Us being at the top of the food chain) and turned it completely around to where humans are no longer at the top and are actually going scarce. It gets even better because it turns out the (attack on titan) government is behind all the Titan workings so eventually it just becomes crazy awesomeness lol. Lots of dead people too.

I just want to know what kind of plot and characters this person finds good. Nothing wrong with it. AoT is my favorite Manga/Anime because of the plot, characters and their development. I want to know what is better so I can check it out. Haven't seen a good Anime/Manga in a while hmm
