nice excuse, i'm going to give ones too.Seems everyone ignored the individual volume sales :/
Aot had a popularity boom and everyone is still buying old volumes, remember OP sales numbers when that happened?
nice excuse, i'm going to give ones too.
-OP is published in a magazine that is more popular than SNK's.
-OP is a weekly manga and SNK is a just monthly manga so it's easily to make fans lose interest.
-OP is released of 4 volumes a year; SNK is released of only 3 volumes a year. it means OP sales > SNK's by default.
-OP has started since 1997 so It has more fans than SNK.
-OP is a long running manga, It'll keep gathering more fans and SNK is just a short running manga, it'll be finished soon.
despite all that, SNK still topped OP in half-year sales this year. it's a great achievement for a monthly manga that is not published in popular magazine.
but i'm not stupid I know OP will win in full-year sales.

are you ignoring my points? What I wrote weren't excuses, the New Op volume sold almost 3m copies while the new AOT volume sold 1.7m, if you wanna compare sales in a popularity boom compare it to OP sales after MF (when what is now happening to SNK happened to Op) where it had almost 40m sales
You can't judge the state of the economy by just one bubble
I don't think you understand what a popularity boom is. It's fine and most of the time it's quite certain that the popularity booms will out beat it's competitors. They call it a popularity boom for a reason, it's unexpected and it will die out eventually. I'm not sure if OP had a "popularity boom" in Japan, I thought it gradually got to the #1 spot over time. It's not much of a surprise that AOT got the #1 spot but like people mentioned before it's only half year sales. I'm more surprised of the gap, it's wasn't as ridiculous as the 2011 sales where OP beat the #2 spot (Naruto) by 6 times it's sales. However, it's total sales of AOT volumes vs. newer copes of OP. So can't we make the same argument that it's been out longer and had a strong support from the anime?are you ignoring my points?
the topic is about snk topping op, and you posted " seems everyone ignored the individual volume sales ..." in your previous post.
you meant that if there hadn't been a popularity boom of snk, op would have won, right?
that's why i showed you how many advantages that OP has over SNK.
when OP had a popular boom, OP already had many old volumes(more than SNK volume) to sell.
and it's also a weekly manga that is published weekly shonen jump, i hope i don't have to repeat this again.
if you think i'm wrong that i called you previous post an excuse, then my bad.
