My Thoughts | This chapter was really freaking interesting. From Connie's mother being a titan and the reveal of the Titans origin. I'm a little iffy on Levi's new squad. None of them are half as skilled as the old squad except for Mikasa. They have some real training to do. And I can't shake the feeling that most of them will die. Or Levi will be more protective of his squad to prevent a tragedy similar to the Female Titan Massacre. Maybe even risk his life, to the extreme that he dies. But I really hope that does not happen.

I think it is great that they will likely get stronger, perhaps work on their strengths more.

I wonder about that. It is certainly true that all, barring Mikasa, are currently not up to par with the deceased ex-members, however, I do feel that significant training is to come. Also, I do believe that should a similar instance arise like back in the forest, both Eren and Levi will deviate from their past behaviors and work together with the rest of the squad for survival. Had both Eren and Levi stood with the other members, they likely wouldn't have lost a single person, but maybe just one.​

I wonder about that. It is certainly true that all, barring Mikasa, are currently not up to par with the deceased ex-members, however, I do feel that significant training is to come. Also, I do believe that should a similar instance arise like back in the forest, both Eren and Levi will deviate from their past behaviors and work together with the rest of the squad for survival. It was a "would of could of should of" moment. In previous chapters, I love how Levi explained to Eren that there was no possible way you could foresee the future and protect everyone. A sacrifice as to be made in order to save mankind. In order to live in peace.For Humanity. (Naruto should take notes.) Ha, look at me jumping off topic.

Well yeah , it's telling you that history might repeat itself once more but it also will be a chance of redemption for Levi to not let that happen again .

True , this was a very important chapter , explanation wise , really love it .
True the 104 rookies aren't on the old squad level , but they are not weak at all , I wouldn't just say Mikasa it's the strongest of them all (she is tho lol) but we also have my second fav girl back : Sasha , you can see she has change from when we last saw her & we know she has what it takes now to take on Titans too (soloing a Titan without gear?) respect , we also have connie , histora , Jean & Eren who have shown they have heart , like people said above a little training will do such fine .

Excited to see where we go from here.

My thoughts : Very informative chapter , we knew some series talking was coming after the crazy battle our heroes had to endured . Happy to see Mikasa is doing ok again , Sasha is back & you can see her growth & maturity . Jean & his jokes (Mikasa is Eren's baby ) .

Really love that 104 are the new Levi squad , although i was expecting this ever since his old squad died , very good team with smart & very interesting characters who have heart , a little bit team work training will do for them .

So every human outside the walls are titans ? specially Connies village ? but there's no people inside the nape ? i'm still confuse about that , need to re read it again .

anyways , this is a chance of redemption for Levi & Eren , to not make the same mistakes they made back with the old squad , this time they will have to fallow their hearts & do what they think it's right one of them might die or both .

Honestly Squad Levi is an excellent combination...

1. Levi and Mikasa: Titanfall masters

2. Armin: could think like Irwin and thus can inform the others of what is likely happening

3. Sasha has instinctual awareness: thus can sense an enemy before they start decapitating squad members (or close to it)

4. Connie is good at 3D maneuvering as it was noted: a perfect decoy

5. Jean can make the tough calls and the logical ones: he can act based on Armin's Intel and if Levi is gone

6. Eren is a Damn Titan shifter... 'Nuff said



We both know that the 105th will wreck ... Why?! They are the 501st backwards. The 501st legion was the ultimate legion of Clones/Stormtroopers in Star Wars :U_U:. But yes... Yes they are.


Also Punk.... I thought Annie and Eren was the interaction you didn't want happening

Honestly it took me a second to realize that is literally all that remains of the 104 with Reiner, Bertholdt, Ymir, and Annie out (Marco KIA). Initially thought: wow they made good 104 choices. Then realized: oh shit this is all of the 104...


To explain your question, most likely not EVERYONE outside the walls is a Titan. I imagine some rogue groups could definitely hide. Some are also shifters. It's more like every Titan is a previous human. Basically, this is how it happens.


You start off in a Shifter form like say Eren. My bet is if you take too much time in that form, you lose yourself: Look at the times we've seen Eren be all dazed and confused. This is how you end up with a Ymir. By staying in too long or going into a deep trance, you wander like Ymir did.

More importantly, if you can't wake up, you most likely begin assimilating into the Titan: meaning your body merges with it. Eventually all that remains is some primordial essence that ties itself around the neck area. Thus killing that spot kills the titan.


I wouldn't be surprised if Aberrant type Titans were people closer to Shifters who ended up losing themselves. Thus retaining only one minor aspect of their human rationality: thus running, jumping, or similar actions.

I'm also beginning to think the Ape Titan was someone who Perfected the assimilation: having the titan body and perfect control over himself.

& Yeah , that foreshadowing although it doesn't' mean someone has to die , but it also could be an opportunity for Eren to prevent it from happening . So who knows . & Mikasa lives for Eren & Eren only , not happening u_u

It was an okay chapter, good series so far, the translation from manga panda was a little confusing, I'mma have to re-read it when *********** releases there copy, I'm guessing there's a revolution happening within the walls? Eren better have hardcore feeling for Mikasa, I'm starting to get mad as his neglectfulness towards her. Maybe in a upcoming chapter, he'll almost see her getting eaten by a Titan, and save her, and make out with her already. Jean can go die if he makes a move on Mikasa.

Nah , Eren is showing maturity , he values the time he spent with the old squad & clearly respects Levi , clearly those habits when he was with them stuck with him , so it's understandable for him to be like that , also in a way 104 it's a parallel from the old one , Eren = Levi , Mikasa = Petra , Jean = the guy who bites his tongue . in a way tho .

They had a great moment in the last chapter & finally was able to protect her like her mother said he should do , he was a man , that's enough for now + Eren said sorry to Mikasa at the beginning of the chapter, their progression it's going slowly but surely. Don't worry about Jean , Mikasa lives for Eren & Eren only .
