[Discussion] Attack on Titan English Dub

I just watched the premiere of AoT english Dub. I think the voice acting was incredible and good representations of the characters. I know some people hate dubs, but I assure you this is a great one. The only flaw is that they cut most of the theme song which was annoying but apart from that the dub was amazing.

Yeah I just saw it , I'm not a fan of the dub , but maybe that's because I'm use to the Jap voices , but I really don't like how they pronounce the names ._. , I'm just glad is on toonami.

Bryce Papenbrook sucks.
They cut the opening short.
They pronounce names incorrectly (c'mon FUNI).

The dub wasn't bad, but I've heard better.

Most of the names in the show are German...and even in the Japanese dub they pronounce it well hehe. is there a German Dub already?

cuz the opening has german words and some soundtracks are in german(with a heavy Japanese accent)

I need to watch this in german dub...maybe its good =D

I liked it and I really want to buy this set when it comes out but there is no way in the world I'm paying a 100$ for a 13 episode set that are about 20minutes each. Seriously does Funimation actually want to sell theses sets? Just a ridiculous price.

I knew Toonami would shorten the openings and ending, still bugged me though, and I expected the somewhat high voices for ep. one. They're 12 yr old kids, even in the first episodes subbed, i kinda hated Eren's voice. Also, most of the names in the show are European, I first heard names like Armin, Eren, Hannes, from a European friend of mine (Eren and Armin were his bro's names, his uncle was Hannes). So the pronunciation difference caught me off guard in the subbed. Right now, I prefer Mikasa dubbed or subbed.

I myself loved the first episode, I really did. It's pretty ordinary at first, but when you get to the scene where the titans get in... oh man, it's 10x more emotional than before, for me anyway. In the subbed, I felt kinda depressed after Eren's mum got eaten. English? I was on the border of tears honestly, had much more of an impact on me. And so far, no dubbed anime has made me feel like that before, so thumbs up from me.
