Youll be surprised to know, from what ive asked of christians, is that the bible never really talks about masturbation only fornication which is having sexual intercourse with someone else. Thats your fun fact
Second, common sense may not be so common but a human will not go his whole life without it. Just because their not making millions of dollard and having movies made about them doesnt mean that they dont have common sense.

Atheists are just as bad as the people who believe in God and force there beliefs down their throats.They call theist mindless and ignorant. Two sides of the same coin really
i believe that atheism is in itself a religion, because it is a believe in an idea without accepting the possibility of it being wrong. many atheists are as narrow minded as any religious fanatic in my opinion.
oh and just for the atheists in here who believe in science as a replacment for god, here are some interesting religious scientists:
Albert Einstein, believed in his own version of god = nature, and used him in arguments a lot (i.e. "I, at any rate, am convinced that He(that is god) does not throw dice").
most of the manhetten project (that created the atomic bomb) were catholic christians.
Galileo Galilei, was in conflict with the roman catholic church for trying to use his science as a new explanetion for biblical text.
Isaac Newton, believed in god and was very devout about it, In Principia he stated, "The most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being."
and the list goes a lot longer.
atheism is only popular in modern times, but all the great work in science and technology came from people trying to explain and understand god. even the very first physics text book was written by aristotle who used human nature and gods to explain how objects move.

i would also like to add that every religious "law" is not only an interpretation from a very old book, but an interpretation of an interpretation someone thousends of years ago wrote about a very old book. i once heard that there is an interpertation of the 10 plagues of egypt where there were not 10 plagues, but 50. because it is said that god struck "with a firm hand", and a hand has 5 fingers. so logicly it was not 10 plagues but 50.

Well I wanted to address your part about masturbation. As I said im just weighin every groups worth. Im not part of anything so im asking questions to everyone. . . . . . . . . . . . You still failed to make a good argument for atheism without speaking of religion Come on I thought atheidt were supposed to be smart with words.
You should really start learning to read if your gonna "do away" with anything

Sadly, you know nothing about Jesus Christ. As the sun, Jesus stands for spiritual and intellectual upliftment. The story about JC follows the events of the influence that spiritual+ intellectual upliftment would have on earth. It's simply a symbol.

@Yowyan- Well thanks for sharing but im trying to speak to the atheist community. Im trying to get at least one atheist to speak of atheism without speaking of religion. For some reason this seems to be impossible for them
Atheism simply denies the simpleton/religious explanation of a conscious deity creating the universe. A deity being separate from us. That's all. There's no books for Atheism let alone a argument. They just dismiss religion because they know it's more used as a tool to delude people than to enlighten them.

Also I find it incredibly naive for you to seek an arguement backing something that has its source based on the rejection of religious dieties without mention said religion.
You do realize there is no religion without a God and no God without a religion, right?

Do you realize that a religious person can talk about his own religion without talking about God? They can do it for hours. Thats something atheism cant do.An atheist cant even make one sentence eithout mentioning god. As seen by the comments here in this thread.

What ShishaMastah420 is that by definition, an atheit is someone who rejects the belief in the existence in deities. Meaning within the word atheism's definition, there is a mention of God/gods. So by bringing up the subject of atheism, you already included God/gods.
That's like me discussing vegetarianism but we can't have any mention of meat or meat products.
