Looks down at his disciple, Dante already knew him as energetic by the looks of him. House took out another set of kimono and threw it at Kyle~

This is yours and you'll keep it clean as possible. When you're done, climb on the tree infront of me and try to stand on the very top of the tree with your dominant leg. I want you to learn how to balance your weight so you won't fall off as we begin and I want you to tell me why I told you to perform such feat in this freezing cold, in a piece of kimono.

Dante crosses his arms within the sleeves of the kimono, looking at his student's stance~

I begin strecthing, warming up my muscles.. I then put on the kimino and followed your instructions. I approach the tree and then standing at the base, I stare up at the top. I then take a deep breathe, I grab onto the tree trunk and begin climbing it. I wrap my arms around as far as it can go, putting my feet to the tree trunk and pushing up with it and pulling with my arms. As I got to the top, I took another deep breathe. I then get to the very top of it and stood on it with my right leg. I shook a little before getting my balance, but I got ahold of myself.

Why?: Becuase one must have good balance to be able to peform well Taijutsu wise. You must be able to have good control over the body and know your body. (In kimino) Taijutsu is physical and the body must be strong to be able to do it. Being in the cold test ones physical toughness and mental toughness.

You can have all the mental toughness in the world but your body will give up and your mind won't help that. Your stamina might last long but you can't configure the biological makeup of your body. The reason I gave you the kimono and told you to stand still on the tree is for you to realize that there's a lot more going on to help your body. If you ever noticed through your training, your muscles generate heat and your muscles love to be heated up. They hate cold. The answer that I was looking for is having a strong mental capacity isn't everything but actually knowing your body is part of it too, young master. "Body Skill"

Having the mastery over controlling your body takes much experience. I assume you meant by controlling your body, that to know how to land a powerful strike and how to dodge or even evade your target's movements. If you know these things, you're not done yet. You need to train yourself to perform these things with a flow, the Tai Chi!

Yes, balance is everything. Through balance, we're able to perform accurate strikes and able to dodge and counter any taijutsu moves we may face. Through learning how to stand on only one leg, one may approve his balance and be able to balance himself a lot more clearly when he's on two legs again. For most of the time, balance is everything to successfully dodge a move if you don't have time to evade. In this training, I'll be teaching you Strong Fist Taijutsu where there are techniques that are chakra enhanced and there are techniques that can be done through natural movement. Now, while you're still standing on that tree and freezing your behind off because you think that mind is everything, I'll let you.

To begin my first lecture, I want you to tell me in your own words what does Balance, Momentum, Capacity, and Flow (all related to Taijutsu) and your own definition of Taijutsu is. I know you listed some for balance but I'm looking for something more meaningful.

Balance: It's all based on physics, but it can refer to many different things. In order to have balance, one must be coordinated and be able to have good control over their body. Body mass, weight etc all ties into having balance, but again, it comes down to coordination. Gravity is very important when one talks about balance.

Momentum: It is the mass and velocity of an object. How fast an object is moving. Momentum can increase based on setting or the object that's being moved. For example, if someone throws a ball down a slope (hill), the momentum of the ball will increase because of the setting. It will pick up on speed because gravity will pull it towards the ground (bottom of hill).

Capacity: It is the total amount of something that can be produced or contain. For example, all water bottles have a certain capacity of water it can hold. Also Area and Volumn tie into capacity.

Flow: Flow is kinda confusing for me because everyone have their own opinion. Flow can be unintendid and just happens on its own. Gravity/Setting ties into flow becuase it alters how flow of something may be moved. Such as water flowing down a stream.

Taijutsu: Taijutsu is a style of fighting. It is using your physical and mental strength to fight. You have to have good stamina and endurance and it's a hand to hand combat because you are in contact with the enemy most of the time, even though some tai maybe be at different range. Tai is not like Nin or Gen, it doesn't require chakra. Even though certain taijutsu moves may involve the use of chakra. Like you said, flow, momentum, capacity and balance also ties into it. Gravity is a major factor in Tai.
