Are Asuma's Knuckles Any special type of weapon ? Or can any weapon like his Have chakra Emit from the edges .

It's a chakra blade. It can be infused with your chakra (either elemental or anything like that) to increase its powers. Asuma, and naruto briefly when naruto was learning from him, infused their wind chakra to increase its powers. Shikamaru infused his shadows to trap Hidan and Kakuzu with it. It is a very unique and versatile weapon

Those specific blades aid in the flow of Chakra through the weapon.. however you don't need that specific type of metal to flow chakra through them. Kirabi and Sasuke did it with their swords, heck - Kirabi even did it with a Pencil - So it's not completely necessary, but it just helps the user and the way the Trench Knives are made actually make them stronger than they otherwise would be.
