asuma is a special jounin with excellent skills and jutsu not to mention his awwwsome chakra blades(sorry i luv those things haha) and all the other were take out by genin not that they were weak genin but still genin and as sasuke proved when he was training with oro and he beat down 1000 ninja by himself is quaility over quantity everytime

I don't think rank applies here I'm sure Kidomaru could take on multiple fodder Chunin.
