[VS] Asuma vs Kisame

Asuma was a character I was fond of in part 1, but, and it's the same deal with Kurenai, Kishi didn't bother to go in depth with his abilities.

I think he was hyped to be the best in Konoha in CQC, but that's BS of the highest order when you had Guy, Kakashi, Hiashi, Hiruzen w/ Enma, and arguably Neji and Rock Lee who were clearly better than him in that aspect.

With that said, I think Kisame wins this, unless you restrict the Samehada's chakra absorption.

Kisame wins. He is phiscally stronger than Base Gai and canonically overhelmed Asuma with just one hand. And if Samehada's chakra absorption abilities are unrestricted he stomps even harder.

Well, even then, Kisame's at least on par with base Guy in physical strength. It's a high difficulty fight for either, though

Kisame's samehada is still a versatile weapon with extension and what not, not to mention he was keeping up with Bee in CQC

So as long as Asuma's fuuton enhancements are gone as well Kisame takes this comfortably

If chakra absorbtion from Kisames weapon is restricted and so is chakra flow for Asuma, I could see Kisame beating him. Not because of lack of technique, but because he can psychically overpower Asuma.
