Which Kabuto?
Pre-Orochimaru mess
Post automatically merged:

The one who fought Tsunade, but give him all the knowledge his later versions had

Kabuto wins.

Medical Scalpel Laser Chakra Slash Bisection accompanied with the penetrative wind force clashed & reflected back to deal 2x the penetrative damage ends it.

Additionally he can physically infinitely heal via concentrating Chakra impliciting that he can block approaching assaults preemptively, and appropriately retaliate and initiate a counter-attack.

Huh?
Wasn't the main problem with the technique being that it costs too much chakra?

Alright, still, how'd he (Asuma) trounce who physically outdid Tsunade, even drawing praise from her in the art of evasive combat, and do keep in mind that Tsunade is literally unrivaled in that facet of battle as exemplified by her own words.

By using weapons with chakra extensions instead of pure hand to hand, i figure

Asuma is physically slower than Kabuto who possesses amplified chakra scalpels that exudes lethally significant damage that could likely trounce him in CQC range especially applying the fact that he lacks the speed features to indefinitely avoid him, and his associated tools, not just that, we've the fact that Kabuto possesses Nirvana Temple illusion manifestations that emits a feather like pearly white realm that subsequently persuades him to lower his guard that likely disarms him of any defensive strategical capabilities that he has under his belt, then he either flickers and bisects his throat or drills a chakra scalpel on his heart.

More impressed by Asuma matching Hidan than Kabuto progressively losing his edge against unsharped Tsunade.

Can you confirm Asuma is slower?

The reach of his wind blades also means Kabuto would have to be much faster to win a hand to hand fight.

If Sakura could break the illusion, won't a jonin achieve the same?

The fact that Tsunade attributed significant parity to her prime self with that of Part 1 inexperienced Kabuto implicates that he has to be logically significantly inferior to this incarnate of Kabuto, unless you're of the opinion that 3SWW Hanzo fight Tsunade can't effortlessly physically trounce him.

Well he likely is, logically thinking.
If Sakura could break the illusion
Except Sakura explicitly exhibited an innate talent of illusory detection, and the subsequent ripping of the illusion, the fact that she's literally manufactured biologically to apparently scatter illusions, her IQ being exponentially higher than even CE Waves Arc Sasuke and CE Waves Arc Naruto, that makes them naturally effective at ripping illusions + there's the fact that the Last Baruto the Movie implicits that she possessed natural high illusion resistance to extremely magnificent powerful illusions like TCM Toneri efficiently applying on Jinchūriki Kurama 9 Bijū Hagoromo's SO6P Powers amplified 16yrs+ natural power progression Naruto Uzumaki, and Sakura bypassed that Otsutsuki amplified Genjutsu without the slightest hint of stress, effort or spiritual genjutsu recoil pressure.

She's explicitly an anomaly character in the grand scheme of the manga.

That was technique execution and instincts, not fighting speed.

I have direct evidence against this, but imma leave it for now.

Sure, but that doesn't necessarily scale her above elite jounin.

Talent speaks of her affinities relative to her own self, not others.

That Kabuto was credited to being on kakashi’s level. So based on hype, Kabuto wins. However, feat makes it hard to say. Kabuto was swift and smart, along with his genjutsu arsenal. Asuma Has superior strength but that’s all.

Won't the superior strength count for anything?

Besides that, does Asuma have no qualities to matter here?
