Asuma vs. Hebi Sasuke

For the interests of skill, CS is restricted. Databook puts Part 2 Asuma one point ahead of Hebi Sasuke in terms of overall base skill. As "Konoha's most skilled in melee combat" and possessor of Raiton's weakness, how does he fair against 3T Sasuke.

Sasuke mid-diff, me think. He can use the raiton blades to rival Asuma, his 3T allows him to keeps up with him ("one point ahead" is a limit that should be easily rendered null by the pre-cog and the likes, he has more options at distance and is also pretty smart too.

Beating Asuma won't be a piece of cake but he won't really need to go at full power.

Sasuke obviously wins, but depending on the distance Asuma can give him lots of trouble in CQC. Hien will be a huge issue for Sasuke up close, should cut through Sasuke's sword if he decides to block it.

Honestly should have restricted a lot more than just CS. Base skill Asuma might be better but Sasuke has too much at his disposal for this to go past low-mid diff.

Sasuke obviously wins. Come on now. :lol Wasn't he having issues taking on Hidan in CQC? Pretty sure Hidan even scratched him once. Early Pt 2 Kakashi was matching Hidan in CQC and never got a scratch on him, and he was using a Kunai. Sasuke is either that Kakashi's equal, or most likely superior, in that area and he's adept with Kenjutsu.

Match ends with Sasuke's blade piercing Asuma's heart.

Early Pt 2 Kakashi was matching Hidan in CQC and never got a scratch on him, and he was using a Kunai. Sasuke is either that Kakashi's equal, or most likely superior, in that area and he's adept with Kenjutsu.

Moreover, Shikamaru was supporting Asuma, if it wasnt for that Im pretty sure that Hidan could kill him withouth the ritual. Yeah, Sasuke owns this.

Hidan's combat ability was severily handicapped in the Kakashi fight. Against Asuma he had the rope attached to his scythe which he has complete

Good thing CQC=/=Taijutsu. Not to mention Sasuke's score is only a point below Kakashi's. Not sure where that 2 tiers business came from.

Correct, but the data book gives people scores of 1.5, 2.5 etc so every .5 should be a tier. Could be wrong, but that's what it seems to be. Hebi Sasuke with CS restricted isn't beating Kakashi in CQC nor are they equals especially when Kakashi can open one of the eight gates and gain 5× his normal strength plus feint him with clones and shit popping from the ground and attack with Rasengans and Raikiris.

Is this a joke? Databook stats are completely irrelevant, they're totally inconsistent to actual manga feats. Not to mention that in the databook there isn't even a total of the stats, because Kishimoto didn't put them to compare characters.

No logical reason why .5 or 1 would denote a whole tier of speed. Everything you mentioned here is irrelevant to my comparison since:

-Kakashi doesn't normally use Gates nor did he against Hidan, which is where I was drawing the comparison.
-Didn't use clones.
-Doesn't use Rasengan in battle nor did he during the fight with Hidan.
